Kinda sold me on the game.

I almost fell asleep. It's amazing how little changed in so many years.

Shift 2 looks so Milquetoast.

I still think a middle ground between Hot Pursuit and Shift is the way to go. Basically, a game with Hot Pursuit's aesthetics (interstates and consumer-grade exotic cars) but with Shift's crazy cockpit effects. Shift has a really good sense of being in a car, with the way the camera rattles around and how they apply different visual filters for impacts and whatnot.

Having a street racer like Hot Pursuit where you "feel" the car like in Shift would probably be incredible.

Eh, I dunno. I could see where he was coming from. Consider Persona 4, and how long Vinny played Fable 2, and other such RPGs with romance options. I mean, yeah, the answer would still be "C'mon, it's Pokemon." but it's not totally left field.

wasn't interested in it much before with the awful main character design, but the story, mechanics and overall game design seems kind of fresh. And I dropped my jaw at some parts of that art style in game play. It's in my to buy list now. It can't go wrong with DMC and Okami staff behind it right?

Just got around to watching the El Shaddai Quick Look and it looks quite awesome. I absolutely love the visual style, I like the whole premise. I'm not quite sold on the combat mechanics but I think it can work. Definitely looking forward to this.
