Patrick should just play, he tried to show more stuff by loading saves and ended showing absolutely nothing in 27 mins and ruined the quick look.
I definitely had a 'really?' moment when he acted like the game makes it such a hassle to send people back to base. I never found anything vague about any of the controls in that game.

Yeah that Honest Hearts quick look was pretty bad. Ryan seemed kind of impatient and Patrick ended up rushing through everything, and wound up showing just about nothing.

The story to Honest Hearts seemed pretty compelling. It's a shame the game is so hamstrung by its engine.

Okay was looking forward to see what they thought about First Templar, but now the schedule says it's going up 5 hours later...Honest Hearts QL got delayed yesterday too, perhaps posting that schedule is not the greatest idea?

I'll give him a pass seeing as it was his first QL taking the controls.

Kind of surprised that the dog and Cass were the fav companions for Klepek and Ryan. I rolled with the Boon and the flying robot for almost the whole game for their extremely helpful perks alone.

But yea, I always enjoyed the F3 Quick Looks. I think it was the Point Lookout one that ultimately got me to buy them all. But this didn't seem interesting at all. I actually was a bit surprised as well when they announced the QL over, came away feeling like I saw nothing.

I also completely forgot about the Burning Man in New Vegas, recall waiting for his appearance to come given how many NPC's referenced him. I'm half inclined to buy this DLC just to see his story flesh out, but eh...

Why am I always curious in playing terrible-looking games? Damnation, Deadly Premonition, Shellshock, Rogue Warrior now this.

That Honest Hearts quick look was the worst. "Hey, we're about to get some actual flow and feeling for the DLC going. Lets just go ahead and load this save in the middle of nowhere and walk in circles for 10 minutes."

I saw a Trenched Quicklook EX in the Coming Soon banner for today at 3:00AM which is 40 minutes ago but it's not up yet?

Also dissapeared from the banner.

maybe an embargo? also: wasnt there a trenched quicklook-ex a few weeks ago?

I always feel left out whenever there's a Double Fine QL. They always look like interesting concepts, but the actual gameplay always looks uninteresting. I think Stacking is the only one I came away from thinking "yeah that looks neat."

It's the Double Fine problem. They have everything except the gameplay in most cases.

That QL of Trenched was funny. The animation deal was great.

However, the game itself looks a little unappealing. I like mech games but this isn't grabbing me the same way CQ or Stacking did.

Eh, the Trenched QL was okay but maybe it was a you had to be in the room type of thing, Ryan and Patrick's reaction seem to be trying to oversell things as hysterical that were just mildly amusing.

The constant talk of both Trenched and Bastion on GB is hurting my love/interest for both games. I feel like I know far too much about both games too long before release, which cannot be that good. The PR persons behind both games should be smarter than that.

Same goes for Mortal Kombat - although my love for the series rescued that in the end.

On the other hand, it is so nice and refreshing to hear the people behind the games getting to speak out freely (for the most part), and get their own personalities across to end end audience, so it is a double-edged sword.

They just got done with a Ubisoft Gameshow Smanger right before this, cut them some slack. Anything mildly amusing would be a godsend in that scenario

Trench seems to lack the charm we are used to seeing from Double Fine.

I can't wait to try Bastion but I'm a little blinded by my love for Greg K.

Quick Look EX: Trenched 45:12 (Ryan, Patrick & Brad Muir of Doublefine)

I was skeptical about Trenched before and that Quick Look definitely didn't help because the game just looks boring. I still have high hopes after Stacking, but I'll wait for reviews on this one. Also, Ryan really needs to stop making stupid jokes and obviously faking interest in things during Quick Looks.

Hilarious quick look, the game looks infinitely more exciting than Stacking. Custom mech creation and loot sealed the deal.

If you used them for something more interesting maybe

What's more interesting than tons of firepower, a touch of gadget strategy and analogue saluting? Personal preference.

I was on board with that stuff. But then they went into a mission and it looked incredible dull.
