Glad I'm not the only ons that runs around other players in games. That never fails to make me laugh. Add in saluting... even better!

Looks fun. I'm down.

Damn Jeff way to kill any excitement I had for this game.

I'm really sad to hear they made the game more linear and that the destruction is mostly cosmetic this time around.

It's because they killed the open world, the destruction work in RF:G because it was in open world, And they also removed the competitive multiplayer.

Volition just completely failed, This game is dead to me.

Now I am really worry about Saint's Row 3 ( I know it's a different team but still) hope they don't fuck it too much like RF:A.

Yeah that's why the destruction in RF1 was far more open and strategic. You know, the linear original.

The thing about the Armageddon demo that most annoyed me was how the enemies sit way up on the walls and jump around. You can see again and again in this quick look how Brad has to look up and turn in circles to find what is shooting him, or to find out where the enemy he was shooting has gone to. Who thought that would be fun? So many terrible decisions went into this game.

This is awful, boring and ugly looking game, the corridor levels design really limit the entire thing and make geo-mod completely pointless, even Jeff was very disappointed, I am too very disappointed, even the new Walker sucks.

smh, Red Faction: Guerrilla was awesome and fun, why Volition? why?

I really hope nothing like this happens to Just Cause 3, which I assume is coming based on how well the last game sold.

Nope, the thing that killed it is the fact why RFG was bad when doing the hostage missions and that is navigating something were destruction can effect everything in the world - even if it makes it less helpful is not fun.

Also for what Voiltion wanted to make this seems fine - probably sell as well.

I didn't even realize they were going away from open world until I saw that Quick Look EX a few weeks ago. Guerilla was by far the best game in the series, and owes that entirely to geomod and the open world format. I just have to think the devs have no idea what made Guerilla a popular or good game.

AND NOT A SINGLE BRAD WAS PULLED.

Seriously though, this against inFAMOUS 2 next week? HA
What?

The last I heard of inFAMOUS 2 was that video feature on GB.

Both these games are not going to do well next week during E3.

Probably pick up inFAMOUS 2 if there were lots of reviews stating if it is any good or how good it is.

.

I think aside from some forums guys I don't think most of people will stop playing/buying games during E3 days, many gamers really don't give a shit or know anything about E3.

Actually, it was pretty limited and scripted. There were obstacles I tried to get past by blowing holes in rock where it did absolutely nothing.

This game doesn't even look as good as Fracture, and that wasn't a good game.

I think more people know about E3 than you think.

I remember a couple of years ago, people I know that only really play FIFA (it's the UK here) even knew about E3.

It's even on all the bloody news channels, even in the UK

But I agree that it probably doesn't affect sales as much as I think it does.

I just think there will be less coverage for people to check out about this games if they were a little bit interested in these games.

That looked so boring. They never should have ditched the open world.

After seeing the QL and their internet ads , it's clear that they want to make a Gears clone. ( a shitty one going by the Ql and the demo)

They should have kept the open world and the Guerrilla's story arc ( Alec Mason vs EDF) and the freaking competitive multiplayer mode.

They should have released RF:Gs multi as a free standalone. Maybe people would actually play it then.

The corridor crawling in RF:A is nowhere near as boring as the driving in RF:G. They just needed a healthy mix of topside (or at least large scale) missions.

That was a painful QL. The game looked bland as hell, and Brad seemed like he kept forgetting what he was supposed to do. Jeff essentially kept reminding him that he was doing a QL.

Can't blame Brad, this is just like the 360 demo, there was nothing interesting at all to do, Brad even tried to make the QL better by loading a save to a better level, but no that didn't do it, this game is a turd beyond help.

with new maps and everything, I will buy that.

RFG multi was one of the very best this gen ( if not the best).

That Red Faction QL made me seethe with anger.

Easily the best part of RFG was the destruction element. Combine that with the somewhat janky open world part of the game, and you had one heck of a good time. The competitive multi was quite fun too.

So then how does Volition capitalize on this? By releasing a downloadable top down racer, and by making the sequel a linear, less destructive, no comp. online Gears clone. Oh, and by licensing out the RF fiction to SyFy, which no one gives a shit about.

What a garbage game. What a stupid, stupid game to make after RFG. Easily bests Resistance 2 as "worst followup to a promising game ever." I'm canceling my preorder tomorrow.

Agree with that. This is bargain bin pick up for me.

It's really sad,I will not buy the game,I love Volition, but I can't support them on this, their design decisions were all wrong, and against what RF:G fans want.

Amen, I had so much fun for soooo long with Just Cause 3. A plain CliffyBing of the game is more than enough for me!

Scared to watch. I've taken a liking to it but Jeff had some critical first impressions on the Bombcast

Please tell me you're joking ...

Red Faction: Armageddon is hilarious because they made the same mistake with Red Faction II, ditching the cool locale and characters of the original Red Faction for some dull generic bullshit. I can't believe they did it again.

Game aint dun been universally panned yet amigo

I wasn't referring to that, I was more referring to you apparently liking the game but somehow feared the judgement of Jeff. In such a way that it would ruin your experience by watching and taking in his according to you critical opinion of the game.

That's what I took from the post, maybe something was lost through the interwebs.

Had to stop watching. Just terrible how Jeff approaches this game from the first second.

It's one of those games where they've already made up their minds about it before even playing any real amount of it. QLs like this aren't even worth watching as they just nitpick the title to death.

I would have love to be at the meeting where they decided to go into this direction for Armageddon. I just can't wrap my head around it.

I usually tell myself that it's the men in the expensive suits that more often than not are behind moronic decisions. Atleast that's what I want to believe in order to be able to sleep at night :(

Sure, why not. Nothing particularly wrong with liking your opinion to match up with someone you look towards for their opinion. Likewise it's kinda a bummer when they don't. That and their more critical critique during QLs seem to colour the overall mood of the comments.

That's right - we should only watch Quick Looks where they like the game they're playing. And Heaven knows that when someone has an opinion other than our own they must just not be giving the game a fair shake...

This QL is just reaffirming what I already knew - Hunted isn't for me. Looks generic as hell, and boring to boot. I don't doubt that it pushes some gamers buttons, but it doesn't push any of mine.
