Yeah, a summer Endurance Run with something more akin to Deadly Premonition rather than the behemoth that was Persona 4 would be awesome. Their longer video series (Not Like This, Endurance Runs, etc.) are my favourite features. More of that is always welcome.

I rarely laugh out loud when watching stuff online but when the pants started coming off, revealing that Vinny was in full green-screen body suit… dammit, I LOL’d.

I LOL’d like I did back in the day when we would type LOL and actually mean it.

LOL’d like back in the old country.

You're confusing the quality of the game with the usefulness of the quick look. Of course the game looks like shit, but I would rather they let me know why and what to expect rather than me try to extrapolate and whoever is presenting to just play their way through the game. Otherwise I'd just be looking at gameplay videos.

i rented the first game and it was actually fun. but the story for the first game actually took place AFTER movie which was a novel idea.
 
I played the first Cars game. Didn't really enjoy it. It controlled well enough but NASCAR and Route 66 are 2 of the most boring things in America, so playing a game with only those 2 environments wasn't much fun. Plus, the first Cars film is still pretty good.

Cars 2: The Videogame looks much more fun than Cars 2 the film though. Mario Kart with Pixar characters is something I can get behind. Also, holy shit at the size of that character select screen :O

Unfortunately it's crap. It plays well enough but it is really repetitive. You are doing the same thing on the same tracks over and over.

Oh, man. Somehow I missed the original one before this. I almost died watching it.

The new one is fun too, but not nearly so much as the original. I've never heard Ryan laugh so hard as he did in that :P

Watch the Magicka QL. But yeah, that first Wipeout QL is glorious.

I think it's pretty clear, but just for you.

All racing games are not repetitive.

Cars 2 is overly repetitive.

Cars 2 is crap because of that plus other issues.

How is it overly repetitive?

Because if I'm not mistaken, most racing games eventually devolve in to "Race on the same track more than once, but now in a different car".

And hey, Cars 2 looks like it has a lot of cars, and as if that wasn't enough, there's also a lot of weapons, too.

So unless you're going to get more specific, I'm not really seeing a problem here.

They'd make a shiny update of it, which you'd probably find only slightly more interesting than the original, and then they'd release a DX version which subverts the gameplay to the point that it's almost a different game, and is so much better.

They did it for Pac-Man, and it looks like they've done it for Galaga, so I'd expect a Mappy DX to follow the same route to market. I'd expect Xevious before Mappy though.

I've played 4 or so hours of it. It sucks. Might just be a matter of opinion but the game is just plain bad. It's decent for a movie license game but that is saying almost nothing.
 
I got a question for the fine folks in this thread.

In your opinion, what are the funniest quicklooks Giant Bomb has done? After the Tony Hawk one where Vinny green-screened himself, I just lost it and want more!

Would you mind throwing out a link to me and others who might have missed out on the comedy?

Motion Sports
Hollywood Squares (And the rest of the Wii game show QLs like Price is Right)

Also Story Hour which was linked last page I think.
