Still watching it, just wanted to point out that they don't actually enable the high-res texture pack until about the 20 minute mark.

Whatever, awesome QL.
Total bullshit. Played the game to completion a few months ago and even wrote a lttp thread for it. It doesn't look supergreat but with texture mods and new weapon models it looks fine.StuBurns said:EDIT: Brad just said SS2 looks 'unplayable' visually, fucking hell.
It was all I could do to keep watching when he said Deus Ex was "barely playable" before they installed the texture pack.StuBurns said:EDIT: Brad just said SS2 looks 'unplayable' visually, fucking hell.
The DX10 mod apparently has that issue since it's running the game faster than it was meant to be played.Gexecuter said:Their Deux Ex install must have been fucked up because the game kept skipping dialog, pretty weird. Anyway it's gonna be very interesting seeing their reactions when they play Human revolution.
There is a latency/delay setting in the launcher that you have to change so it works properly. Takes like a few seconds of google to find the solution.EmCeeGramr said:The DX10 mod apparently has that issue since it's running the game faster than it was meant to be played.
There's some kind of fix involving V-Sync, which I think they had turned off.
Just shut Giant Bomb and go play it now.Coldsnap said:sorta stoked on this, never seen the original Deus Ex
You mechs may have copper wiring to reroute your fear of pain, but I've got nerves of steel.LiK said:^old and new Deus Ex avatars back to back....
BatmanBatmanBatman said:Awesome deus ex throwback quicklook. I am one of the terrible people on this forum who has never played it, despite having looked at it way too many times in the game shop. Could see myself playing it one day even if I hate shooting like that.
I never asked for this.EmCeeGramr said:You mechs may have copper wiring to reroute your fear of pain, but I've got nerves of steel.
PM steam name or email if you want a copy.LiK said:i never played it either. kinda regret missing the Steam sale. but i don't feel bad now since the mod is new and i will play with that when i get the game.

My hidden spy camera I put in the Whiskey Media offices hasn't picked up anything having to do with E.Y.E. yet. I'll let you know if it spots anything related.Gav47 said:Are they going to do a Quick look of E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy?
Thanks, I thought they said they were going to do one but maybe I'm mistaken.DaBuddaDa said:My hidden spy camera I put in the Whiskey Media offices hasn't picked up anything having to do with E.Y.E. yet. I'll let you know if it spots anything related.

I can't even comprehend that kind of mindset.
They mention it in the QL but they didn't say they'd be doing one. Although I'd love to see it. I really need to see more of that game before I can bite.Gav47 said:Thanks, I thought they said they were going to do one but maybe I'm mistaken.

P.s How much for uncut footage of Ryan/Drew? Just, you know, for my collection...

What always annoyed me about Max Payne were the ridiculous architectural proportions. The houses, garages, rooms, doorways and corridors must have been designed by a squat giant. I know that was a workaround to allow for the camera and the gameplay to move and continue unhindered. It just looked so weird.zoner said:Max Payne 1 came out less than a year after Deus Ex and looks about a hundred times better. Played both recently, and I found it mind blowing how good Max Payne still looks on PC. Dem textures.
Both are amazing games though. They're consistently tied for my favorite game of all time
Goldmund said:I'd love to say Deus Ex' visual design has aged terribly, but then again I remember playing it when it came out and thinking it looked pretty terrible. It's still such an interesting game.
I wouldn't go that far. Things like the enemy AI held it back from being as interesting in practice as it was in design.Xater said:Deus Ex wasn't a looker back then either but the gameplay is godlike.

How on Earth do they still have screen tearing issues on PC Quick Looks?BarrenMind said:

It's been going on for so long you'd think they'd have some sort of fix for it by now, but no. It's so jarring to watch.
