I was kind of perturbed by the SotC QL because his fundamental misunderstanding prevented him from showing off the actual gameplay. I'm not irritated by this one or anything, just somewhat amused. At least he's consistent!

It's a shame that people have taken 'pulling a Brad' to this extreme where it's no longer having a chuckle at some death that results from him goofing up, and has become raging at him for not playing the game exactly the way they want him to play it.

I just hope it doesn't put him off doing QLs. Brad/Vinny is my 2nd favourite QL combo.

It's confirmation bias. I can't help but notice something wrong every time I watch a quick look now.

How does Brad play through RE4 three times and not know what yellow herbs do?

I finished RE5 last year and I had no idea what yellow or red herbs did, still don't. I only used greens, and I always just combined the other herbs with greens.
I was playing on normal, I guess they're more of a factor on harder difficulties.

i think the yellow herbs in RE5 were different than RE4. but i have to say that i still remember what yellow herbs did in RE4. too useful to forget.

btw, the rule of thumb iss red always enhanced the green herbs so they heal you completely. old tradition.

The gameplay reminds me a lot of Flashback. Hell, even the elevators are ripped right from it. So awesome.

I can't fault Brad. I'm sure the comments on the videos on the site were much worse, but the way people basically dogpiled on him for 3 pages after the SoTC/Ico QL was hard to read. Some were calling for his resignation from the site and other really dumb things. I'm slightly biased since I had no personal connection to either of those games, but I'd like to think I wouldn't get as worked up about it as some people did.

Not saying these need to be constant praisefests, as I'm sure they welcome constructive criticism, but this thread has kind of taken a turn for the worse since then. Any time a QL with Brad goes up, you can count on 15+ posts about how terrible he is at such and such, and garners no interesting discussion whatsoever.

Most of it is really immature criticism, though. People basically pick apart everything he does in QLs now looking for mistakes to post up.
