Agreed. Mostly just because I'd like to see a game I'm less familiar with already.

With horror games I actually think these let's play type videos are more fun if you've already played the game.

And I like that they're sticking with Condemned for a while, unlike most horror games it's actually fun to watch.

Well, apparently port begging is allowed but only for the master race :-/

Who is going to run the Cheap Ass Gaffer Euro thread now? :-(
I'm not sure it counts as port begging if the game is announced and listed for sale, just to be delayed repeatedly for no reason.

This.

Also do we know if GiantBomb has gotten access to the DOTA 2 beta? Wouldn't mind a Brad QL of that game :o)

Note to Patrick, regarding William Shatner's TekWar, you had it right the first time, and the chat had it wrong. I had that game when I was a kid, and it was bad. To be fair, it had some interesting ideas, like civilians and cops in the game world, a non-lethal weapon, a holstering requirement when you're in public. a somewhat non-linear Mega Man-style structure, and some nice-looking outdoor areas. But everything else (and some of the things I mentioned) falls apart, as best pointed out in this review.

A common complaint tends to be directed towards the lack of AI, as the police will gladly target you if you unholster your gun, even if you are trying to defend yourself from an attacking henchman. I also seem to remember that Shatner still chastises you when you use lethal force against the TekLord target's henchmen (IIRC, according to the manual, the henchies are Tek addicts and thus are innocent in some way, even if they're trying to shoot you in the face), so you're stuck with the non-lethal EMP Gun for most of the level. Then there's the Matrix, which you can go into after defeating the TekLords to find some symbols or something. I remember it being mentioned in my copy's manual, but it's still an incredibly disorienting area with no clear paths. It also doesn't help that they obviously recorded Shatner's "briefing" FMVs before the game was in production, since they're vague to the point of uselessness.

It's not really port begging. The game was scheduled to come out on PC basically the same time as the other releases and then Sega continually delayed it without ever actually announcing any sort of delay to customers. Very frustrating.

True enough, but from the other perspective I can see where he was coming from. I went in that thread several times hoping to read about the game and it was 90% PC discussion. It may not technically be port begging but it was just as counterproductive to discussion.

I know it's been said, but after listening to the new Mastodon album, I find the music in Supremacy MMA to be offensive. Sooooooooooo bad :(

The cutscenes seem hilarious though.

Similar thing happened with Trenched. The OT was full of talk about the EU version being delayed instead of talk about the game. It happens :(

On topic, I'm really hoping for a Rage quicklook this week but it doesn't seem likely. That game must have a tight lid on it before release.

I can understand why Bethesda would be tight-lipped about Brink and Hunted: Demon's Forge as they were kinda crap. RAGE and Skyrim though...you'd kind of think they'd ease up.

That's assuming a lot. Ubisoft doesn't let people show off the AC games before release either. I believe Driver: SF was the same way, and that was great. It's just how some businesses do it.

Isn't Ubi the company that tries to barter exclusive pre-release access to a release in exchange for high review scores? I might be remembering that wrong.

I think they did that once got caught once doing that in Europe.

I might just buy this game...
It looks good and the menu sounds bring me back.

I agree with Brad.
Shame. Resident Evil 4 probably is the best game in the series, but I enjoyed RE more when it still tried to bring the horror. Ammo conservation and survival. <3
REmake= high point of the series.

Love how Brad didn't leave one slot free before he went for the case. Welcome to the real Resident Evil Brad.

I too wish it was 10 bucks. Would have bought both in a hart beat if they were.

Can't get rid of a fire extinguisher?
Combine it with the ground.

I enjoyed the Veronica quick look. I've never been fond of playing it myself, but I love watching other people play it. I'm amazed at how much darker the game looks now, but maybe that was just how their settings were.
Perfect way to end the video too, hahaha.

I like the old RE games, and I can make the point and click adventur game-esque logical leaps in many cases, but I've NEVER been able to deal with the fact that you can't just drop items in the earlier games.

The old RE games are still good, started playing them for the first time this year. Checked out the first one initially to see if the controls are really as insurmountable as some make them out. After I actually started playing it, I really couldn't understand what people had a problem with. Or at least I didn't find it very hard to turn and then push forward to walk.

I actually think those games, or at least RE1 and Code Veronica (the ones I played), would be pretty boring if you had the standard 3rd person action game level of maneuverability.
