I'm sure you would have done the same without watching that video first. It's the tutorial colossus after all.

Then add that I watched the Warhammer 40k: Kill Team video yesterday, where he chose the melee class and then proceeded to not use melee attacks, ever, and just complained about his weak gun.

A Crack in Time is better than any Sony Published Game on the PS3. I just got Ratchet All 4 One but It's going to be a while before I can properly play it.
 
They also spend almost half the video doing absolutely nothing but putting toys on the thing and taking them off while running around in circles in the hubworld.

Not that I blame them, considering how simple the game looks.

When I first heard about it, a bunch of people on a figure board I go to were trying to figure out how the hell Bandai or Hasbro didn't get in on it. Transformers and Power Rangers could make so much money off it.

Hell, it's what they SHOULD have done with the Marvel Super Hero Squad games.
 
Skylanders is a cool idea that appeals to my inner child but every other fiber of my being sees the monetization going on and recoils in abject horror. You are literally buying physical objects to unlock content already present on the game disc. One that you paid $70 for.

It is like the worst case of overbearing day 1 DLC ever.

(That doesn't happen, but god damn it they should do that for Premium folk)
 
The ideas behind Skylanders is actually cool as hell. What an awesome idea for a kids game. Although I wasn't surprised one bit when I realized it was activision behind this, what with the fucking ridiculous pricing model.
 
How is it that neither Ryan or Jeff in the Payday quick look have said anything (at least with 10 mins to go) about how fucking shitty the whole "Hold button to do thing" aspect of the game is. It's so lazy and boring, knowing that's such a big part of the game puts me off it completely.
