The fact that the patch to Crackdown has to even pass certification is a sick joke. THEY JUST RELEASED ONE THAT BLINDLY DESTROYED SAVE FILES. Not to mention all the other horrendous bugs the game is now robust with.

1. the beta release was always going to come in the form of a title update. we all had a title update today but it didnlt work. i think cause of issues with other updates

2. every update needs to pass thru cert so they don't brlck 360's. but we know even then updates still brick systems lol

and on that note let me be the first to say the halo 3 beta gave me the red ring of death lol. u know its comming

The Beta is just under 1 gig, but the patch to Crackdown that'll let you install the Beta is 23gb.

Quality Assurance has seen a major cutback during the X360 period, not just hardware, but software too. Where have you been lately?

ms is not alone. its just the sign of the times. i bought a brand new samsung released just a lil over a month ago. it has hdmi handshaking issues with every device. every tv has it. i even asked the tier 2 guy how this could pass qa. they said it happens.

now i have to wait for a service tech to come replace my mian board and that will likley not fix the issue. they told me they are trying to foix the issue per a fw upgrade.

not to mention my sa8300hd cable box dying 3 times this year.

but with that said i ahve ahd no issues with my 360, knocks on wood.

i think all across the board companies are skimmping on quality. just my opinion. and oh i love my sammy tv. best pq i have ever seen on a lcd

So the end result is that someone from Real Time Worlds should get fired for breaking the Halo 3 Beta download button code, and someone from Quality Control/Certification should get fired for passing the last Crackdown update without checking if it was still possible to download the Halo 3 Beta.

Most people i know who bought Crackdown bought it to play it. It's a great game. If someone was that desperate of a Halo fan to pay 60 dollars for Crackdown, when there were other, widely known, free ways to get it, then its their OWN DAMN FAULT.
