The Halo 3 Beta Thread

OMG.

Got 30% in five minutes... then it is announced it is fixed...

I've been at 33% for like 3-4 minutes now. Oh well, 5 am is looking about right after all.

Oh shit, as soon as I hit post it jumped from 33% to 38%. So it's looking like maybe an hour more... though it does seem to be STRUGGLING mightily to keep itself going. 39%....

Blazed on to 18% and stopped there for the last 10 or so minutes, it feels. On cable in the Tampa Bay area, watching my router occasionally blink. :(

Cleared my cache and BAM it works!!

Yeah. The server just got annihilated. I'm gonna wait it out, then download it in 45min or so. Don't want to leave my 360 on for 4 hours straight.

It's going pretty fast comparitively on my 512 connection. Not exactly stupid fast like the rest of you but I'm glad it's not going at 20k/s.

A WORD OF WARNING...

DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING!!!

I just hit the guide button to tell a friend that it was up...and the d/l stopped...when I resumed it started at 0% again. :( Took me 15 minutes to get to to 2% too. :( :(

seems xbox.com has died
Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

ok guys I downloaded it where is it now cannot find it in the demos section (?)

Do I have to pop the CD disc in everytime?

The music in the menus is so badass I don't feel like leaving it.

I'm freaking out here, can't believe the XBL servers actually worked especially that fast. Holy crap.
