The MLG thing has gone way too far. Every other game you play in Halo 2, Gears of War, whatever has people with MLG in their GamerTag. And it usually doesn't mean a thing. There are millions of people who are skilled gamers and being in the MLG or not being in the MLG doesn't make your opinion or skill level any more valid than anyone else's.

They have that now...called the BR. God knows how many times I've been sniping and some BR pester me to death. Besides, I'd rather have a four shot rifle that can unscope me across a map than a four shot pistol that can do the same.

yea but not in halo 1, which is why i was arguing that the pistol was a balancer in the first place.
 
Actully I think gears is one of the worst shooters in history, Rainbow six vegas is good, Soul Calibur and tekken should have never been in MLG cuz they sucked same with Gran turismo and I used to play halo 2 but dont have an xbox anymore. I only play smash bros now. So yeah gears and halo is all I play :)

Actually the guy in the vid is a much better player then that leaked stuff. haha he goes in a man cannon and mid air snipes someone running on the ground. pretty cool.

I think he's supposedly one of the best Halo players at Bungie.

oh ok sorry. looks pretty cool though. you wonder if it is the build we will be playing because graphicaly it is still looking a little lack luster.

well it shows. much better vid. it says it was done with the video editor. i would have liked them to release it from different angles as well. that would be cool.

he doesn't work for bungie. He works for microsoft on windows. He's just someone from microsoft who really likes playing
 
Yeah, he's the guy that designed the Start Menu for Vista.

Among other things I noticed in the video...Rocket Launcher appears to no longer lock onto vehicles. And the Brute Shot is a bit better damage wise. So it appears. Of course everything is tentative as well.

Oh and if anyone happens to have a Crackdown code or something and isn't going to use it, please throw me a PM.

You have to have Crackdown in your system tray to play the Beta unless you got a code invite.
 
I imagine the FaF updates for us common-folk will go out tonight around the WWU time. Hopefully, some of us get in as well. If not, Wednesday is going to be a long wait...

Well, possibly, you can just shoot him, spike him, lazor him, rocket him, snipe him, splatter him, etc. starting on the 16th. Assuming he plays in the public beta. :)

How did the official thread turn into an Halo e-penis competition? Can we just keep on topic and either discuss the fact that some of you are playing this beta today and STILL haven't posted impressions?

Hell, a co-worker got his F&F invite and has to wait until he leaves today to play...I'm counting on you, GAF!

I'm looking forward to it. Just saying that it'll be hard if all I/most of us can do is sit and read impressions of the game and how much fun they're having while we have to wait five days. Oh well, at least we get some HD footage :D

Nope, just art directing and grinding through Friday. Meanwhile, I sit here, at home, enjoying a birthday day off, catching up on 24, and NOT PLAYING HALO 3. So unfair. :)

BTW, I'm stealing "up to his pipe" for everyday usage.

Probably later this evening. The WWU usually hits around 4-6ish PDT. I imagine the other websites will release their info in the general time frame.
 
I hope my biggest compliant of H2 multi is fixed in part 3. I HATED how you couldn't setup a public, nonranked game of your liking and let people join. Does anyone know if this has been fixed?
