Wow, I LOVE the covenant carbine.

Can someone, a halo pro or someone, describe the proper weapons to use in each situation or the advantages of each weapon? I'm learning slowly, but I think sticking to the AR is a weakness of mine. Works nicely at medium range though.

Lag with the shotty is much less of an issue, and just as importantly, the damage is very consistant. It's not like the H2 shotgun which was pretty random with the damage dealt. Also - it's a ****ing beast.

True, but it literally ran at like 5x my usual download speed. I didn't grab the Forza 2 demo until it had been out a few days, and that took over two hours (got to test out the low-power downloads). I'm sure Live is going to melt down but it seemed like the beta was on a fast server(s).
