Also I know codes are still being passed out... because a few peeps are now suddenly playing the Beta when yesterday they were complaining that they didn't have it.

its like saying we can no longer issue social security numbers. just at a 1 at the end.

In an interview with Shane Kim he said he wanted as many people to play the Beta so they can make sure when it launches in September it will run smoothly.

I already own crackdown... so you already got my money Microsoft. Don't you want to pass a few more codes out so the matchmaking waits aren't so long?

Why does the disgruntled gamer get a code? He is disgruntled. It's not like he is going to appreciate it, he is too busy being disgruntled.

well i said crysis singleplayer is good because i have never played any halo singleplayer to compare the two. i have over 15,000 matches in halo 2 multiplayer though. :D

but as far as crysis, as mentioned earlier, it has nothing on halo 3 multiplayer as far as im concerned. all pc fps' are build the same way, all the weapons in every pc fps always seem the same to me. not to mention that preview videos ive seen of crysis showed poor AI.

i'm telling you, crysis is an engine game and will only be remembered for that. i bet all the reviews will compare the gameplay to farcry and all the pc-centric fps'.

Don't want to be troll, really looking forward to the beta and the final game but how crappy can 1 single shot make a game look.

They're just unnecessary, and they bother me when I'm looking down to find something to land on or somebody to shoot. Not a big deal, hence the :( in place of paragraphs of whining!

yeh see thats sick. thats a one time engine thing that will make everyone go wild in singleplayer. but in multiplayer, things like that are not implemented, and obviously cant be thus crysis cannot evolve much considering they surely worked on the singleplayer a ton.

anyway, sorry about the offtopic. no more responses about crysis for me.
 
Yesterday and Friday were fairly unbarable, but it's only two more days. I have work tomorrow and I have rediscovered the magic that is Crackdown, not to mention C&C3 is getting intense. My advice to you guys who can't hold out...play Crackdown and shoot some harpoons through some poor bastard's head.

One screenshot (the chief up against a wall) and the announcement trailer from a year ago. A few work-in-process bits in the Et Tu Brute? vidoc and that's IT. I'm expecting campaign to begin to be unveiled after the Beta is over.

That's how Bungie operates. I don't expect to see anything from SP until July and what we see won't be nearly everything.

That will come in September when we finally get to play it.
 
omg why do all these PMS ****** get the beta over me? someone explain please.

theyre all about marketing gaming to girls, but do they actually play games as much as I do?

anyway, can someone run a test for me and tell me how many headshots are necessary for a kill with the carbine?

i just wanna know some of these things so i dont have to learn all the physics come wednesday.
 
I just had a badass final kill just now in Team Training on High Ground - the guy is up ahead inside running up the first half of the stairways (it goes up in one direction, then turns the next way) - I know he noticed me since he stopped around the corner of the first half of the stairs, and is waiting for me to come up after him...

The stairway has walls all around it, and I had a Spike Grenade - so what did I do? I threw it against the wall directly across from him, making the tail end point straight at him... half a second later, dozens of super-heated spikes flew straight into his face for the insta-WTF-how-did-he-do-that-50th-kill... oh yeah! :D

Another Spike Grenade moment had to do with Territories and a Bubble Shield where two guys thought they were safe in a Bubble Shield as they grabbed a territory - wrong! One guy ran up and melled/shot the guy inside, while I just walked in and stcuk the other one with a Spike Grenade - no territory for them! :)

Oh, and did I mention how *brutal* (yeah, I know) all of the spikes sound when being launched or when they hit walls? Nice touch to see them cool off from red hot to steel too...
