It is released. Everyone is getting their codes and downloading.

Us Crackdowner's are the only ones left out now.

I would hope Microsoft would do everything they could to ensure that this thing is prepared for the hit they are going to take. They're crazy not stupid.

First the Shadowrun Beta and now this. You would think a company that made billions on software would know how to properlly run a Beta.

Jesus Christ, dude. I want to play as bad as the next guy but you're complaining as if they've blown the whole ****ing deadline. "Properly run a beta"? Really?
 
Did the Phase 1 and Phase 2 downloads already activate? I got in Phase 2 and I just got an email in my inbox, it says F&F though.

Sorry if I'm hours late, I only read a page back.
 
Well it is pretty ridiculous that the people who were forced to spend $60 to play the Beta (and let's not kid ourselves, that's why a majority of people bought Crackdown) get last dibs on it.
 
damn it, i was planning on going to sleep now and waking up at 5, but it looks like i'll be refreshing this thread until the crackdown method goes active :lol

if i end up pulling an all-nighter for no reason, i'm pissing on my copy of crackdown when the beta ends instead of selling it

I'm relaxed just fine. I just can't understand why the actual P.R. heads of Bungie, Frankie and Luke, don't know when the Beta is going out. The countdown timer on the website makes absolutely no sense whatsoever considering invites are already going out. And nobody knows anything. You would think Microsoft would have it streamlined.

Oh well. Guess I'll go and play the Home beta until Bungie decided to "reward" those who paid 60 damn bones.

Everyone waking up at 8 AM to download the demo, as far as we know at this point, will be able to. Stated mission accomplished.

I thought you meant you got a F&F invite AND got into the Beta through RUle Of 3 or one of the other non-Crackton ones (all of which are currently working).

I got an email for F&F. And I'm in Crackdown and Phase 2. I guess they sent a generic email to everyone, that says F&F.

Edit: LMAO this is taking forever, still at 1%

If you got in the friends and family, which was released Friday of last week, the one you got today from phase 2 is useless. You can give the code to somebody else and let them download it, but there's no reason for you to use it yourself.

Yeah, I didn't get in last Friday. I guess this email I just got that says "F&F" is for my Phase 2.

Just a quick question that I am sure has been asked before, but do you need to load Crackdown each time you want to run the demo? That is really annoying if so.

Yes. But it won't be that annoying, just like playing a regular game.
 
If you got in through some other means, it just sits in your demo section like other demos. :)

Oh btw, I dont plan on playing the beta now... I just plan on leaving it there to idle so everyone on my friends list can be jealous of me playing it. :D
 
People do understand that it's much smarter to stagger the release right?

I just assumed everyone would realize you can't tell everyone "hey go here at this time and this date!"

The internet doesn't really work that way.

Bungie.net says we can expect the disc drive to be sounding like a jet plane while we are playing even though the demo's all HDD. Quoted it a few pages back :(
 
If anybody has an extra code would they kindly swing it this way.

I'm messing with the Home beta right now but I'm just not in the mood.

I need some Haloness. I'm getting anxious and kind of upset at how they're handling the Crackdown users...

I still think there's some part of the Beta running off the disc.
 
Why can't it just be 5am est? I leave for my sister's graduation which is all the way on the other end of the US. Of all days! of all weeks! graaah.
 
Sounds disappointing already. After the download becomes available I was hoping I'd never have to load up Crackdown nor have it in my drive for a long while. Thank god I'll have other games to keep me busy during this unforgettable experience.

Have a disc in the drive is disappointing? Jesus people find small things to bitch about, it's friggin' Halo 3.

I supposed people are going to expect Halo 3 to be completely downloadable too :lol

Seriously, as pissed as I was/am about still waiting on this, we are getting a chance to play one of the most anticipated games of all time three and a half months early. A disc in the drive is not going to make or break it.
