I was just trying to come up with an alternate imaginary fix. Where you guys sent a meassage to crackdown players that sent us to where the other people downloaded the beta without issue. Don't mind me.

Transparency like this is always good to hear and calm down the people who really want to play but let there imaginations run wild with Halo Beta conspiracy theory's.
 
Just a note, that "May 16 at 10pm EST" on that rithum website is the Australian timezone. And May 16th at 10pm was hours ago, when the Beta was meant to be released. It's May 17th here now [3~ AM. I'm usually up at this time, not waiting for the beta :)] so it doesn't mean anything.

Its not a rights issue, its a keep your customers happy issue. Don't think some of us won't think twice next time something like this comes up.

exactly what i was talking about. yeah, i'm sure if bungie gives you the opportunity to play halo 4 mp 4 months before the game is out, you'll be like "ummmm, naw, i'll pass. i still remember how you guys completely f'ed me over with crackdown and having to wait half aday extra. thanks though."

it's going to take a herculean effort of will to refrain from impaling the crackdown case with my throbbing hatecock. i didn't like buying an awful game to get into a beta in the first place, but i never imagined that it wouldn't work. this is a world class ****up.
 
HOLY SHIT, on another note i lost my xbox live gold +/-1 week ago, didnt dl the "free 4 all pack" and now i cant because i havent gotten gold? WTF, why call it free for all then -.-

Dear lord, how many people that have ALREADY BEEN PLAYING THE BETA are going to come in here acting high and mighty? We get it already, you have the beta, for free at that, and you don't approve of the comments being made by people who PAID for it and still don't have it.

To be honest if I go home tonight and read the news about some kid blowing his brains out about not being able to get into the beta, I'm probably not going to be surprised. It'll be unfortunate, but not all that shocking given the type of stuff I've seen posted on the Xbox.com forums today.

Allow me to help you clarify your statement. When you say "They" are fixing it, is it Real Time Worlds, Bungie, or crack MS ninja?

For the record I hated it before. I recognize its merits and know that lots of people enjoy it, but it's not my cup of tea and never has been.
 
Played a few games this morning and it's a blast literally. Fave feature is saving best games and re-watching them with friends. Pretty cool feature. Looking forward to running into friends that are waiting on the Crackdown fix. Come on Live folks get the fix in gear!

No, but I imagine there will be a map pack in halo3's career. Which I will promptly wait till they are free.

Additionaly why buy the special collectors edition, ill be the cheapo copy. The point is, I am one of the hardcore fans, that part of what makes the franchise so huge/revered/crazy. And as a hardcore fan, I don't like to be put on ignore. So yeah, I'd be lying to say I'm not going to buy the game.. but there are other avenues of supporting a brand.

even though it sucks I couldn't start downloading this morning before work or during lunch...at least nobody else was able to download it either :lol

that makes it suck slightly less
