Seriously... The beta pushed alot of people over the fence to buy Crackdown. Simple as that.

Very true, but that doesn't mean that Crackdown isn't a good game, or that it's only appeal was the beta...which is exactly what the numerous "After 20 minutes I never played it again/Piss poor GTA-Clone/I don't like GTA/I don't like sandbox games/Crackdown 2 should be a platformer" folks are trying to infer.
