Lag and voice issues seemed to resolve themselves a little bit through the day. It's pretty funny how people (you godhandviscen) think that I'm out to bash the game. It is actually possible for there to be lag/glitches and general netcode-related problems for beta builds of games. And more particularly, on Xbox Live - the world's leading online gaming platform.
That's what this beta's for - testing the netcode. If you have a problem with my findings, you're free to put me on ignore. I really don't care.
Anyway, impressions:
I think Valhalla is ideal for BTB. High Ground is a little crowded but it's definitely workable. From the limited time that I had with the Banshee, I didn't really care for it and found it pretty vulnerable. I feel like the BR needs to respawn more frequently during BTB, 'cause without that gun, you're in for a world of hurt on that map. I think the distance on the Warthog turret should be cut down a little bit. It took me a little while to adjust to the higher player count, but I think Valhalla is definitely better with more players. Balance issues seem to be the same.
And Smokey: good games, man. Had fun. It's nice to play with guys who actually communicate and know what they're doing.
It also helps that you ripped it up.
