Obviously you didn't read my post. There's a difference between the exploration and tricking community and morons who exploit maps in Matchmaking.

They do it during custom games. Since they don't have that option right now, they do it in Training games with a full party.

As I said before, the tricking population is a big part of the Halo fanbase and one that Bungie values. Show me somewhere that Frankie or another Bungie employee has said otherwise and I'll concede the point.
 
I wish Oddball came up more. I love it, and I'm excellent at it. I've won both of the games I've played.

I hope I get to try the Banshee soon. I got in one earlier, but then some JACKASS on my team shot me out of it so he could ride in it.

Is anyone playing the beta on a SDTV? If so, mind giving some impressions? I wanted to delay getting a 360 until I had an HDTV, but this thread is making me want to jump the gun a bit.
 
Now that Proximity Chat is back in Big Team I'm really feeling that I don't like it anymore. I liked it in Halo 2, but now that I've played the Halo 3 Beta without it, I like it. It brings you closer to your team with more of a focus on them. Both because there aren't people talking shit all over the place, and because you don't have to worry about alerting someone to your presence by talking.

No, I read it. But there's a difference between warthog launching and glitching. There are many who would get outside of the map with the oddball or use it to attack those inside the map. There isn't a distinction. Getting outside the map on multiplayer maps should be prevented. Because these "good guys" make videos, people watch them and destroy online games.
 
God ****ing dammit. I bought that piece of shit spiderman 3 and ever since I have played it I can't get a good connection to live. I am getting dropped every couple of minutes. Thanks alot activision for a making a mediocre game that has ****ed my wireless connection. >:(
 
slightly off-topic, but out of the Halo novels that are available which one do you guys think is the best? I ask because I'm thinking about picking one up.
 
Fall of Reach for a good backstory as to how the Spartans came about...I liked all 3 personally though, I haven't had a chance to pick the 4th up yet.

Yeah we defenitly had some great games going tonight :). I always hate it when people have to leave though, then I gotta find new people :lol

But it was really fun :). I especially loved it when I lasered the warthog when I was sitting on the back of a riding mongoose :D . Thank god I saved the movie <3

man, why are almost all american XBL'ers total asshats?

I've only played about 8 games, but every single game has had at least one person who has to be an asshole.

Did lead to some comedy

I amazingly have only had maybe 3-4 games like that out of 60-70 random ranked games I've played unbelievably. In general that's what happens though.

What's your zone set to? I've found that most people I've met are fine, with a few exceptions who get snarly at someone who asks dumb questions.

I played 6 BTB games earlier today and didn't get lag in a single one - I was rather impressed considering I was expecting the worst. I may have just been the host or something though, I'm sure I will encounter plenty of lag in due time.

I'm not impressed at all by the latency in BTB games so far.

Seems pretty much the same as Halo 2 except this time it lags to shit with only 12 players.

Is Bungie just going to forget about 16 player games like they did with Halo 2?

Good Games with the GAF crew earlier. My fault for posting so late but I went to grab some eats. BTB was awesome, even on High Ground. It's non-stop action, not to mention intense when you are running to a "clear area" only to see about 6 red dots in one big group with no yellow dots near them...you feel so vunerable, so you toss every nade you have just to put up a fight. I had an awesome time, can't wait to hit it up again.

There's not much else you can do to avoid assholes like those but that. That's why I almost always play with at least someone on my friends list.

My K/D ratio is improving slightly (although my last game f'd it up). I'm just happy i'm keeping it above 1.

Ya, I wish they made it a ranked playlist, though I'm not sure if that would even help :(

In one game the whole other team except one guy left, I felt so bad for him :lol We partied up with him afterward and he said it was his first ever match of Halo 3...
