Yeah, it's totally fun to lose any possible sense of satisfaction I might possibly get out of getting a couple kills and not getting TOTALLY humiliated because I got BXR'd and didn't get the kill because of it (which has happened and I can even recall specific instances). The total lack of simple comprehension some people are having here is amazing and is totally justifying the hate MLG people get.

Sailor tommorrow I will be on if you want to play. Been busy the past week so I haven't been playing much.

See, this is the point. Even when I get totally destroyed by the other team for whatever reason (my fault or maybe my team's fault or whatever) I always tell the other team good game, unless they were talking total trash or something. Hell, in Halo 3 now when it happens I go check out their videos and see how they play, and a lot of the really good people I've played against have been really cool. But if you're going to cheat/exploit/whatever you want to call it on TOP of completely destroying me, robbing me of the tiny fighting chance I have, then talk shit...you get a bad rep just like MLG gets from a lot of people.

i just used to play a ton of MLG customs, and then played a ton of team hardcore. BXBs and BXRs in just about every single game i played in team hardcore.

Rattlehead: It's an extremely well known fact that you lose 2 RP if you don't finish a match (quit out before it's over). Try it yourself if you don't believe me. It's possible what he meant by that post was that you CAN lose RP, but you don't lose what you gained with the RP, which in my case would be the Captain ranking. I'm not sure, that was the point of my post . It is possible to lose RP, it happened to me 3 games in a row where the game lagged me and a friend out each time but it counted as a quit I was pissed because I had 99 RP and it dropped me to 93, and I had only been 1 RP away from 100 which gives you whatever rank (Lt I think).

I did try it, I just quit 4 games in a row and my RP didn't drop once. Try it yourself

Doesn't explain the -1 RP and the skill rank thing that just happened, but I'm willing to write that off to delays between their systems or a glitch or something. I've noticed often that there's a slight delay between your Service Record and your regular Player Details screen (one will update w/your new RP right away, the other takes a minute or two to reflect it).

I think you're right about the -1 RP, i just checked mine again and it has since dropped, not sure why it took so long to update tho (5 games later).

If the other players do not agree, or do not know about it, then it is cheating. And everybody knows it is. So you're advocating cheating because it is fun for the cheats.

Not that I should even be playing a custom game, but just to let the Bungie guys know.... when damage resistance is turned on to invulnerable and you go past those boundary turrets (danger zones?) on Snowbound they don't kill you. Same when vehicles are set to indestructible.

I always say GG, even if there are some dicks in the game, because the rest of the guys aren't dicks. For the dicks I just submit a review and move on.

And as for the pistol BXR or whatever, I don't see what the big deal is. Bungie obviously knows about it now, and for all we know, it has been fixed for months, since the pistol wasn't even supposed to be in the beta.

Serious Bidness. Look, I'm not really going to fishhook anyone. You can relax. I'm sure you're a phenomenal player and that your mlg team rapes, or whatever. I just don't get the logic that you use to justify cheating. If you're so confident in your skills, you would just say, "Don't use 'em. Don't need to." But that's not the case.

And it's funny, because I am a casual Halo player. Until the Beta dropped, I hadn't played Halo in something like ten months. I'm not in any special professional gaming leagues. I don't have a team or a clan. I'm not sponsored by Monster Energy Drink. I don't have fifty thousand Halo 2 kills, yet my Halo 2 K/D is better than yours (though it still sucks) and I've never once used an exploit or a glitch.

But gee, I can imagine that you would be tons of fun to play with.

You got to remember this is the Beta tho, Frankie has said he wants people to try and find all these glitches and ways to get out of the map. That way it can be fixed for the final version.

This was several days after the exploit was found, he wasn't doing it to help the game, he wanted to cheat and win. If it had been just a regular slayer game, and he was just out there dicking around, not killing anybody, I wouldn't have cared. I probably wouldn't even have killed him

Are you talking about Shrine? I believe it is the largest map ever in Halo with the exception of that one map in Halo PC, I can't think of the name of it. But I'm not sure that'd count. I don't know though, Shrine might actually be bigger than that.
