Pretty cool, am I right in saying the Spartan shoulder pads are one of the custom armour options for Halo 3? Look similar from memory.

Still don't like the way the Elites look in Halo Wars, they lost a lot of their predatory elegance. With mentions in the Bungie updates that the Elites went through a redesign, I am a bit worried they look and move a lot like the Halo Wars version.

Good question, I one did a match in Halo 3 where a friend of mine got a question mark as his tool of destruction which got a few laughs so maybe it's that? Another possiblity is it's a weapon only found in custom games.
 
I don't think its custom game weapons. I've got 41 "classified" kills and I only played maybe 5 custom games. I certainly didn't get 41 kills in those 5 games.........
 
Nope, classified is not just the custom weapons, those show up separately on that stat site and I've seen classified kills in numerous non-custom-games on the Bungie stats pages.

Yeah you are quite right, I haven't played any custom games and I apparently have atleast 18 classified kills. Probably a Fusion Core or a Power Drainer would be my second guess.

Elite upper body = fine, everything from the hips down = bloated and inelegant.
Also the wasp waist is a bit too extreme.

Just played a game of Rumble Pit and won 25-8. Maybe it was 25-9. Anyway it was only 4-players and it was on High Ground. Kind of strange but using mostly the Carbine and AR I took home the prize. Might go for my Captain today before the beta ends. Need 18 more wins.

Every Power Drainer and Proximity Mine kill I've gotten has been called "Classified".

It is consistant with the Elite profile on the halo3.com site. Much more animal-like.

About a handful of wins from my Captain and I'm taking a short break. Noticing more and more bugs with sticks being classified as suicides, guardians kills etc. Hopefully that'll be shaped up in the final game.
 
I wish that the ammount of assists would be shown.

Also, I hate how nobody wants to drive the Warthog in Team Slayer because they're worried about their K/D ratio apparently. In my last game a dude even went just to sit behind the turret to wait somebody drive. So obnoxious.

Assists are taken in account.

I play with someone who always likes driving and doesn't care about his k/d ratio one bit. I don't care about it either. For one, it's a beta. Secondly, I care more about winning than the ratio itself, for example CTF in High Ground. I will always go in the base and more than likely I'll die either attempting to capture the flag or running with it.

Just playing a game of BTB Multiflag. Very tight game. Within the last three minutes I manage to get their flag, bring it through the field. We score a point. Guys from other team quit. Game hangs. No points. No RP. No medals.

Seems like a convenient way out of a game where you are losing, leaving your track record clean. I bet people will use this tactic a lot.

EDIT: People definitely are doing this. Another BTB, now Team Slayer. We are off to a strong start. Players from other team quit. Game hangs. No points. So, if you figure out early on that your team is going to lose, just get the game to hang huh?

and when you do drive all you get is screamed at for not driving precisely where they want you to go :/

Mongoose kills are the sweetest things in the world. And the AR is literally over a fifth of my kills. Wish there was a way to see AR-Melee kills, as that might be close to a third.

Well, the whole "pull the trigger twice and shoot four times" kinda thing really puts a damper on the fun of Halo 2. Believe it or not, there's people out there doing it. Not to mention annoying shit like: Noob Combo in full effect, Poor Map Rotation in MatchMaking, Most Players at this point are stupid good/hardcore, Superjumping, assorted hacks, etc. Its just old. Halo 3 is the hot new shit. No other way around it.

this is the best one yet. There is this dude in our team who starts to shout in the beginning "everybody to the Warhog, let's get this shit full!!" he goes on "yea everybody in, guys, go go go!" then he starts driving, crashes to a tree, stone, and everything else and flips Warhog over, sending us to our death. He goes on about "let's get these things full!!" throughout the game, driving alone and shouting
