what, you're not going to put the Casablanca luggage tags on your luggage? :lolCosmic Bus said:Yes, a bunch of stuff that you'll glance at excitedly while opening the box for the first time and will then collect dust on the shelf. $65 well spent!
How much was Afro Samurai marked at in store? It was 13.99 on their website.Az987 said:Picked up Street Kings and Afro Samurai @ Best buy today

I'm a little skeptical about how much Blu-ray would improve it and would like to hear some impressions.
Which are overpriced?Mrbob said:Sweet. I will get the Austin Powers package. I'm also going to grab the kill bill two pack from amazon.
But why oh why are TV box sets on blu ray still vastly overpriced?![]()

I got Terminator SCC for like 25 bucks, I got all the Weeds seasons for 20 bucks each. Prison Break was the most expensive at like 60, but its also FOX.
HBO's pricing has always been ridiculous. Rome is 80 bucks a season on DVD.distantmantra said:Sopranos was more than that.
Oh Yea, I remember looking at the sopranos prices and just laughing. Yea right, 120 bucks for half a season? gimme a friggin break.distantmantra said:Sopranos season six was split into two half seasons, with each one having an MSRP of $129.99. Smallville has an MSRP of $80. Lost season three lists for $99.95.
Lionsgate has been great with their TV shows on Blu-ray so far (Weeds and Mad Men). Warner has been guilty of high prices (Smallville and Sopranos) in the past, but has apparently scaled things back for SCC.
VanMardigan said:Saw In the Valley of Elah last night. Looked good, not much sound stuff to talk about (TrueHD). The movie was very good but ultimately unsatisfying. I had to go to wikipedia to get the full story.

Captain Pants said:The Justice League Season 1 blu-ray is pretty decent. The colors are very vibrant, and the background art looks very good in HD for the most part. There are times where certain background elements look really blocky and pixelated, but I have a feeling that this is how it looked originally, and the animators figured it wouldn't show on an SD set, so it wouldn't matter. The transfer itself is pretty good. The line work on the characters can be a little jaggy, but all in all, I'm really happy I bought it, because it looks much better than DVD.
kobashi100 said:what about Justice League - The New Frontier Movie.. Have you seen that?
I thinking about buying it on HD-DVD. Any idea on the PQ?

Wall-E on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on 11/18. There will be a single-disc DVD (SRP $29.99), a 3-Disc Special Edition DVD (SRP $39.99), a 2-Disc Blu-ray edition (SRP $35.99) and a 3-Disc Blu-ray Edition (SRP $40.99). The single-disc DVD will include the Presto animated short, the all new Burn-E animated short, audio commentary with director Andrew Stanton, deleted scenes, the Animation Sound Design: Building Worlds from the Sound Up featurette with Ben Burtt and the Sneak Peek: WALL-E's Tour of the Universe featurette. The 2-Disc Blu-ray edition will include all of the above (minus the Digital Copy) and will add a Geek Track viewing option, the Cine-Explore with Andrew Stanton feature, PiP enhancement of Burn-E with storyboards, and an Axiom Arcade suite of "retro style videogames with a twist." The 3-Disc Blu-ray will have all that and also include a Disney File (Digital Copy) version of the film. Whew!
Disney's doing the same thing with Prince Caspian. 'Disney File' edition for $5 more, with the only difference being Digital Copy.Dead said:Only difference between 3 and 2 discs seems to be the Digital Copy....which is fucking stupid
