So do you guys use the digital copies that come with some blu-ray's?

Up until today I had only used The Dark Knight one.

So I decided to use all of the ones I have that aren't expired. I checked my collection on blu-ray.com and I have 49 movies that came with digital copies. I'm up to 9. Only 40 more to go!

no, never. I have no reason to. I wish these digital copies were forced upon us to keep the costs down, if any at all.

Yea. I don't really have much use for them. I just figured why let them go to waste. Maybe I'll get an iPad one day.

I redeem my digital copies because they expire but rarely do I really use them. I don't really watch movies "on-the-go" though.

I'm not interested in those digital copies at all. Total waste of space.

How did you go about doing that? I couldn't find anything that gave you an expiration date for digital copies. That would come in handy since a lot of mine are still sealed. Thanks.

Was posted on the last page, but seems to have been skipped over due to new page, so:

Steven Spielberg's A.I. Artifical Intelligence starring Haley Joel Osment and Jude Law has been given a Blu-ray Disc release date of February 15, 2011 per retailers, marking the 10-year anniversary of when the film first debuted in theaters.
A.I. on Blu-ray will be presented in its original aspect ratio in 1080p video as well as 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio. Bonus features will include a slew of featurettes: Creating A.I.; Acting A.I.; Designing A.I.; Lighting A.I.; A.I./FX; The Robots of A.I.; Special Visual Effects and Animation: ILM; The Sound and Music of A.I.l; and Closing: Steven Spielberg: Our Responsibility to Artificial Intelligence. It doesn't tell you when they expire. I meant I just checked to see which ones had digital copies.

I hate to sound like a troll, but I swear A.I. is one of the the worst movies I've ever seen. Me and my friends were cracking up at the ending. Tears in our eyes. Soooooooo cheesy :lol

What did you find cheesy about the ending?

Your post is bad and you should feel bad!

Is it wierd that all of a sudden I don't want to go to the cinema to watch movies? well ones I know I want to watch. I like building my blu collection and by the time you buy a ticket and snacks in a cinema you are paying $20 bucks which would be the price of buying the blu. This change happened to me recently but I am having to force myself not to go in some cases telling myself it will be better on blu ray :lol .

I really wanna see Tron and Unstoppable but I think if I wait I will be better off. Another one was Easy A. I heard that movie was suprisingly good and no one would go with me to see it so now I gotta wait for the blu. Which I suppose feeds into my habit.

This has forced me to watch the preorder list on blu-ray.com and drop them into my wishlist as I go.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($28.96) and Blu-ray ($34.95) releases of The Social Network for January 11th. Extras on the DVD will include a commentary with director David Fincher, and a second commentary with Writer Aaron Sorkin & The Cast. The Blu-ray release will include the commentaries, along with a feature length documentary ("How Did They Ever Make a Movie of Facebook?"), featurettes ("Angus Wall, Kirk Baxter and Ren Klyce on Post", "Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and David Fincher on the Score", "In the Hall of the Mountain King: Reznor's First Draft", "Swarmatron", "Jeff Cronenweth and David Fincher on the Visuals"), and a Ruby Skye VIP Room: Multi-Angle Scene Breakdown feature.

Three Trent Reznor related featurette ("Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and David Fincher on the Score", "In the Hall of the Mountain King: Reznor's First Draft", "Swarmatron",) makes me all happy! :D

I've gotten addicted to getting blu-ray deals on Amazon. Got tons of blu-rays for $5-8. So really, a trip to the movies = 3 blu-rays for me. Yeah I'll stick to watching at home, thanks :)

Is there anything special you should use to clean a plasma TV screen? I have a 50" Kuro and until now I've just lightly dusted the screen, but now I see it needs a little more.

A slightly damp microfiber towel.

Dumb question, but how are digital copies different from the blu-ray disc? Are they a different storage format?
Digital copies are 480p resolution computer video files, most commonly transferred to ipods/ipads. Blu-rays are a different video format, mostly in 1080p resolution.

Digital copies that don't work on iTunes bother me. Kind of sucks when they only work on one format like Speed Racer.

And, do companies put in new codes after the original batches expire? Always wondered about that as I don't buy my Blu's on launch usually.

And man, that Social Network box is horrible. Guess it's supposed to be like the poster? I kept looking for the title until I saw it at the top. Someone needs to go back to school.

Yeah I have a couple of Warner discs that have digital copies in some stupid Windows media format. Absolutely useless.

Don't really see any difference between the cover and the nature of the film.

For Speed Racer, and WB in general, you can actually email them or something and have them give you the digital copy for iTunes. I have Speed Racer on mine.

I know distantmantra was interested in Exit Through the Gift Shop a while back; well, DVD Beaver now confirms that the UK disc is region free, though it doesn't look like much of an improvement...

DVD Beaver can suck my balls.

My copy of Exit Through the Gift Shop came today. The PS3 recognizes the movie, as the graphic for it shows up, and it loads the warning screen. Then it won't go any farther.

AWESOME.
