Yes Mountain Dew is considered shit (Baja blast is the worst) just it's always tasted good to me.

Maybe it's because I had other sodas for a while and that's why it taste off but still something had to change.

Odds are you just adjusted your flavor profile. Nothing to be ashamed of. I used to drink Code Red on a consistent basis years ago (not every day, but at least weekly). Couldn't get enough. But going back to it now, it tastes like straight grenadine to me. Pure sugar.

I still like soda, I think I've just notched my palate into harsher flavors (energy drinks, black coffee, etc). Perhaps you've done the same?

Not a bad idea. Would do it to cut down on some soda but can't give it up entirely cause it would be hell for a while until I got off my caffeine addiction.

Though the real tragedy is the fact that diet code red exist. Diet soda in itself is super counter productive can't imagine how terrible that would taste and how big of a disgrace that is to soda.

Something of the same had nothing but sundrop (which I do somewhat prefer over Mountain Dew) and brisk (the strawberry lemonade juice or something like that). Just odd cause it was only like a couple months when I had a code red.

I thought it was a bad batch cause I got a 12 pack but my dad says nothing taste wrong with it so either you guys are right and it now just taste wrong for me or I'm just used to other things.
