That Diana Bang is from my hometown. She's pretty hot.

She was one of the best parts of the movie. Man, I need to go out and get myself an Asian girlfriend now...

I'd give the movie an 7/10. Hilarious throughout, few dull moments, but overall it was pretty hilarious. Not Tropic Thunder hilarious mind you, as that movie comes to mind when thinking of comedies set in Asia, but yeah, still pretty freaking solid.

Loved it. Completely stupid, but that was the point. I imagine the type of person that hates this isn't very fun to be around.

James Franco's character was the worst part of the movie. He was made too dumb and obnoxious. His interactions with Seth Rogen were hit and miss.

Imagining the real Kim Jung Un doing and saying the things in the movie made me laugh. I don't understand how anyone can say he wouldn't be bothered by The Interview, considering
he cries and shits himself during the interview, is killed and shows his country being turned into a democracy.

2 and a half stars from me.

Movie was funny as hell!

Oh, and this was Seth Rogen's response to the Verge saying it's a rubbish film:

lol

Finished it with my brother only now and as someone who hates Seth Rogen I got to say I loved the movie. I laughed at a few parts, was surprised by certain other things that happened and overall enjoyed it.

Better than expected to be.

I quite enjoyed it.

Loved Flacco's schtick and the amount of
katy perry and lotr
references they threw in.

Worth the $6 imo. If you're a fan of their humor and movies I think you'll enjoy this enough.

Really?! They are not gonna generate the amount of money they would like without a real theater release. That's probably a good 150mil they'll never see

First time I've rented a movie online. I'm a good representation of people who don't pay for shit.

They're gonna bank.

I just finished watching it. It was alright, I died laughing at some parts. Still not as good as other stuff they've done, but not terrible either like I thought it'd be.

at least.. i see a lot of comments like this online, makes you wonder how smart these people are. Last Seth Rogen - James Franco flick made $100m domestically and Neighbors made $150m and then plus dvd and rentals.

Somehow people think that 20-30m will buy this on youtube to recoup that... no way. At best, movie is still going to lose 50m-80m even if it releases wide in a week. It is more likely that it will lose $100m at least.

It was alright. Some parts were pretty funny, other parts weren't that great, but it was worth the $6 my brother paid lol

Shitty movie. Like a new level of flatness to their schtick. Even their chemistry felt off. I mean it's Rogen and Franco, the bar was at 0 to begin with so it wasn't surprising.

Some early parts were cringe-inducing, but I found it super funny in the latter half. Definitely wish I bought it instead of renting.

How much money a movie generates from rentals is so marginal compared to a theater release .

This is the first movie I've heard about having movie rental before theater release. It's a brave new world bro.

Also, it's pretty hard for me to get bombed at home though.

/me crosses fingers.

It's so weird how this whole fiasco has inflated everyone's expectations of the film. As if NK tried to stop it because it was too good or something. People are judging it from a really weird lense.

Movie was fine. Had some funny moments.

"What kind of porn are you watching...?"

Movie was pretty dumb, but I laughed pretty hard at the boromir line and the 2014 women are smart now lmao

The rest of the movie I was just thinking about if Obama and Kim Jung un watch this garbage lol

Beginning was aight but it picked up lol. The Lord of The Rings references were fun and even some of the shit James Franco said was pretty funny and random as fuck which I enjoyed. Solid 7/10. Didn't like it as much as this is the end but it was entertaining and that's all I ask for.

THE INTERVIEW is fine. It's not a "pile of shit" nor is it "comedy of the year" material, but it's fun and tightly-paced enough to warrant a watch.

I love the image of (ending spoilers)
SEAL Team Six saving Franco, Rogen, and the puppy. I had a feeling things were going to unfold just as Franco prognosticated at the beginning of the film, cuz it's like poetry, it rhymes, and so on
.

THIS IS THE END induced more laughter, and felt sharper and more refined. The latter feels weaker than the former, but the material is ultimately bolstered by its cast. It's silly, irreverent, and offers some solid laughs. Overall, I got $5.99 worth of entertainment out of it with some change. Yay, freedom and such.

To clarify, I thought 22 JUMP STREET, THE LEGO MOVIE, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, CHEF, and BIRDMAN were on the "good" end of the spectrum of comedies released in 2014.
