you are playing the iPhone version right?

where is that option?

also mail from the developer regarding spotify and web radio

"Hi Chris,

Glad you like the game! Nice one.

Not sure about spotify, but it shouldn't be too hard to add custom radio urls like in the steam version.

I've got a few kinks to iron out first though.

Cheers,
Steve"

That's just where you select whatever song you want when playing. This is on wifi though, maybe it doesn't work over 3G?

ok, found it now
not available on quick play
it should be available as a separate choice. I have over 4000 tracks on my iphone and did not even look at track selection due to this.

Lol.. Beat Hazard Ultra's menus could use some rework. A lot of people though the game was stuck on the "Instructions" (including me).

If your interested, the dev has just joined Toucharcade. He mentions he's working on a update first that address bugs and other issues. Then he'll work on a features and gameplay tweaks and sounds like he'll solicit ideas and will ask questions. Feel free to chime in the thread for the game on TA.

Couple of games I've played recently which I've really enjoyed:

Spice Invaders - Game is huge. Lots and lots of levels. Difficulty curve is a bit erratic at times but really once you get the tesla tower the game is a walkthrough. But very enjoyable and keeps you playing. It's a bit buggy sometimes in regards to not applying your research on occasion and not opening the next level upon successful completion. You don't need to buy any IAP. I did a bit of grinding at the start but there's so many levels there's plenty to let you buy things. Let down a bit by the repetition of enemies and level design isn't particularly strong.

Anthill - This is really cool. Almost TDesque with a twist of Pikmin. A little bit fiddly at times when creating/deleting paths and can get a bit tough later on. Not enough upgrades though TBH to cancel out the extra difficulty. There's way more stars than what you can purchase upgrades with (no reason at all to buy IAP). So I'd have liked to have seen that fleshed out more with more levels too. Pretty short but addictive and a bit different.

MegaCity and TripleTown - Both fun puzzles games that are a bit different to usual. MegaCity is Tetris with SimCity thrown in, while TripleTown is a nice twist on the match 3 genre being able to build a town along the way.

Kingdom Rush - Absolutely one of the best TD games put there. Great graphics, units and towers keep it very entertaining. Nice upgrades and plenty of levels to keep you busy. Highly addictive and great fun to play. A great TD game like this comes around every so often, just when you think they couldn't get any better.

Bought the dark elves in Hero Academy. Not because I actually want them, but I hate, hate, hate ads in games. Not a big fan of having to pay to get rid off ads but at least you get some extra content, so I guess it's ok! :)

Anyhow - game is great. Really great. I stink at it, but playing with friends is damn fun. I like how light it is, very easy to get in to. Highly recommended!

Is there any info out there on whether HA will get a universal update?

I agree but the dark elves are fun too, nice to change things up. Its my favorite iphone game by far right now.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
Just beat Planet Buster.. good game.. especially for the fact it was free.

Final levels are more luck than skill though, as it's about getting major combos well 10x and hoping for the best.

Guys I'm seriously worried about Word Fighter. There's been nothing news wise, and I have been fixating about this game like there's no tomorrow. I just hope it's still on track.

According to the Android thread Minecraft Pocket just got updated with some basic survival elements. Hopefully those changes make it to the iOS versions. I still dont understand why it wasn't done as a 1 to 1 port from the PC version.

For what its worth, I'm really really enjoying Pinball Arcade. SO good.
The high view is nigh-on unusable though due to the reflections. On locked medium it's better and it's pretty well perfect on low, but when on multiball you don't have a choice... you're stuck on high :(

I'm not a fan of where the pricing may be heading, too. $2-$3 is okay per table, but Ripley's is $5.99 or something? Far too rich. I just ended up buying Theatre of Magic and Black Hole (which a friend of mine actually owns IRL. It's a heavy fucker!).

They probably want to commercialise the games on the other platforms exactly as it was commercialised on PC. The model is to release it as soon as there's something playable and update along the way. So instead of releasing Minecraft pocket sometimes later this year or next year, it's released already and will get updated.

The views are pretty annoying, I would agree. Low works well, but even still, that sometimes screws me over. Pricing is also a bit meh...I've not purchased any new tables, but I'm thinking of grabbing Black Hole.

Ripley's was $3.99 for me, but I recommend not getting it now, or at least testing it first, it has framerate troubles on my iPhone 4.

Pricing is based on licensing. Some of the tables they have to pay like 10 different places rights to get all the things they need to release them (they use certain songs, voices, etc), others are much cheaper.

If you're playing on the phone, play the low or medium view in landscape. I know it doesn't make sense, but it really does work better :)

As for tables, Black Hole is definitely good for the quirky under-playfield playfield, but it doesn't quite have the depth of Theatre of Magic. But I assume you've trialled both so you'd know that already ;)

Still no idea why Ripley's is so damned expensive. Could be due to the Ripley's license (none of the other games require licensing) or that it's such a new table compared to the others. Hope no other tables are that pricey, but I have a feeling the more popular ones (like Medieval Madness) will be around the same range.

BTW Being geeky enough to have my phone jailbroken (don't worry, I still pay for all my apps!) I can see references amongst the game files for Taxi, Harley Davidson, Bride of Pinbot and Gorgar. I can't say whether they're guaranteed or not (they may already be on the list to be released) but I can tell you that Stern's Harley Davidson table hasn't been seen in either the Williams or Gottlieb collections.

I would've figured they'd have something all-encompassing with Stern that'd be the same price as the other tables. Doesn't explain why there's a price difference b/w ToM and Black Hole, though.

From The Pinball Arcade OT:

Each month, The Pinball Arcade will feature one game as The Table of the Month.
The Table of the Month on most platforms will cost 99 cents. [We’d prefer to offer it for 99 cents on all platforms, but there are some console restrictions we may have to abide by that would restrict this pricing model].
After each month is over, the Table of the Month will go back to it's regular price which will typically range between $1.99 and $2.99 (with $3.99 currently planned for tables with expensive ancillary licenses).

So, $3.99 for the tables that have more expensive licenses to obtain, and the rest at $1.99 and $2.99, with a 99c sale every month on a different table.

They are hoping to release a LOT of tables over the years. There's a list of confirmed ones so far in the OT which is by no means a complete list, and all the ones you mention should make it in (the two not in the list were replied to with a ":)" when asked on the facebook page).

In case anyone hasn't jumped in yet, just do yourself a favour and get onto Pinball Arcade, paid version. The one table you get with it is plenty good for the price and the other two (I'm not counting Ripley's, it's expensive and quite shit) are fun as well.

Thanks guys for checking out End Night. Thanks also for the great feedback, it's really helpful.

Was actually terrified about the game releasing so took yesterday away from the internet and went snowboarding to avoid reviews : )

I just saw this on the app store, just some feedback those screenshots seem very dark and may put off people purchasing.

Kinda sucks that Ticket to Ride is somewhat buggy. Just had it crash and it set back Astrolad and my game about 5-6 moves. :\

Bah, now I just got a notification saying "Game Over."

Are there any games like Rhythm Heaven out there on the appstore?

There is but I cant remember the name of it. It's in my purchased history because I got it for free sometime last year. I'll go look for it since I have nothing better to do right now.

EDIT- Found it. It's called Angry Honey and it's free.

Tomena Sanner is the only one I can think of.

I've only played Tomena Sanner on Wii, and while it's fun and wacky, I don't think it has anything at all in common with Rhythm Heaven/Tengoku(?).

This might come off as a bit of self promotion, but, if you like Rhythm Heaven I guess you'll get a kick out of our game Beat Sneak Bandit, which will be released next week. It's way more puzzley than RH, but It's got the same thing going as RH - rhythm gameplay not based on falling/blinking tiles tiles alá Guitar Hero etc.

Really wish monkey ball 2 sakura had on screen controls, even monkey bowling is messed up for having to swipe.
Gyro sucks for precision

Won my first game of Hero Academy! :O
I really love how attacking is not draining HP like all other turn based games - I think this is what makes this game interesting for me. One of the things I don't like in (S)RPGs is the constant healing I have to do. I can't stand it to have characters without full health in games :)

I also find the the fact that you have to "smash" your opponents units by placing your own unit llon the same tile to get rid of them super interesting. Has this been done before?
