The most powerful movie scenes

I just finished watching Cloud Atlas the other week, and I've had time to sit and think about it. I don't know if I found the movie necessarily entertaining or not, but I found it to be one of the more thought provoking movies I have seen in recent times.

This scene in particular as really resonated with me. Spoilers if you haven't seen the movie obviously:

Such a powerful moment in the movie. The acting, the buildup, the speech.
The way that the interviewer, just by looking at his expression, you can tell that, by the end of the interview, he totally buys into everything she is saying.
It made me think about my beliefs on a philosophical level.

I'm sure there have been other movies that affected us in different ways, so list away!

Perfection.

My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions and loyal servant to the TRUE emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.

Also I found this scene where Crockett is staring out into the ocean to be fascinating. Those who have seen it understand what I mean. I always wondered what the hell he was thinking about.

Everyone tends to gravitate towards the iconic shot of Andy in the rain, which in itself is incredibly powerful, but this scene - again I'll limit the spoilers - that precedes the 'longest night of Reds life' strikes me more. Andy is seemingly broken. His whole speech to Red is so vivid and etched in pain. Beautiful movie but that scene sold the whole movie. The 'Redemption' was earnt in those moments.

Close second would be the silent three way standoff between Angel Eyes, Blondie and Tuco at the end of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly...God tier.

Some scenes in Scott Pilgrim really give me a "FUCK YEAH" feeling that I dont think any other movie does basically anytime the "VS" flashes onscreen...so good

The pause in the shoot out towards the end of Children of Men chokes me up pretty bad.

Came to say this as well, just rewatched this recently and I feel the same way towards the end.

Also, in Return of the Jedi when Luke is hiding and Vader is goading him into getting angry and fighting, when Luke finally snaps, that shit is heated.

This movie blew me away and stuck with me since I watched it nearly 15 years ago.

The raw power, anger, heartbreak, and utter despair in this scene is utterly unforgettable.

Off the top of my head the most powerful scenes I can think of are the final touchdown and funeral scenes in Remember the Titans, capa's jump scene in Sunshine, and the ending scenes in Smokin' Aces, 127 Hours, and Angels and Demons.
