Did Kermit saying Hell catch anybody else off guard? I'm surprised Disney let them get away with that.

Cue somebody posting a supercut of Muppets cursing in 3...2...1...
No but him saying doctor teeth and the electric mayhem band are now happy 'legally' caught me off guard, but off course they all smoke marijuana

wait it's a sitcom and not a variety show? I guess this could be alright, but I see this dipping very quickly into cynicism and self-deprecation based on the trailer

Looks nice, so it will get cancelled quickly.

Also, I hate that handheld format. They like to mock it, but they still continue to do it, which doesn't make it any better.

I always liked the "backstage" area of the original Muppets show because it was a charming, cozy little dirty theater. Going to miss that since it's been replaced by a Hollywood writer's room, but I'm looking forward to this a ton.

Kermit's voice still bothers me.

But this looks ok.

Yeah, most of the voices sound a bit off, except for Miss Piggie's and Gonzo's. Kermit's voice bothers me less than Fozzie's does. Fozzie's is way too high-pitched and lacks that that kind of Jewish stand-up comic cadence that Frank Oz gave it. But I guess there's not much of the original VA talent left at this point, if any.

Looks pretty good.

I haven't seen the last 2 movies but I've heard they are good.

I'll check this out, especially since it's probably going to be the lead in for SHIELD on Tuesdays it seems.

Muppets are Disney, so there's value in keeping the series as long as it does decently enough in the ratings. The IP is also fairly popular, so it should start off well enough.

Looks great! Though I'm struggling to stay optimistic given the cliff the Muppets: Most Wanted fell off, especially after the phenomenal first movie

Yeeeeesssssssss! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

If I watch it live, and have it record on my DVR, will they count it as 2 viewings to help boost ratings?

Yeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss!!!! Can't wait.

Looks pretty good, but I really didn't like the first of the new movies (didn't see the second) so I'm definitely keeping expectations in check.

Use to be a huge fan of the Muppets when I was a little one, I don't know if I can watch it every week. I'll check out the first episode I guess. The trailer was pretty good, I will give them that.

Looks very good, and I'm not really even that big of a Muppets fan.

I like Gonzo complaining about the 1-on-1 interview cutaways. I hope that wasn't just way of lampshading, and that the show is actually not going to rely on cutaways.

I never really liked Pepe. Wouldn't mind if he doesn't show up too often.
Yeah, he seems to be a favorite of Muppets fans that did not grow up on the original series.

Top 3 Muppets

1)Gonzo
2)Rizzo
3)Animal

(feel free to list your top 3)

I think the reason the original show was so good because the caliber of stars that was on it at the time
Diana Ross, Milton Berle, Steve Martin, Bob Hope, Elton John, Don Knotts, stallone, Phillis Diller, Carol Burnett, etc etc

Of all the new shows announced thus far, this actually looks the most promising. And it's the fucking Muppets.

As long as Martha Stewart is in it I'm OK with that.

Looks great, can't wait. Looks like all the other sitcoms on ABC (Modern Family, etc), but that's not a bad thing, especially with muppets.

I thought the first movie was great, the second one was watchable for me, but not all that great.

If another movie comes, I kinda hope they get Jason Segal back on board for the development.

If you really think about it, The Muppet Show was like one of the earliest "reality" shows -- showing what goes on behind the scenes. Updating it this way makes perfect sense.
