The Newest Spotify Client Is Absolutely Horrid

Main issue I have with the new version is that it is a lot slower than before. Especially the recently played list, it takes a few seconds to load or update;clicking on a song to play also takes a while.

That won't get fixed, because the new version is just a web browser instead of native code that it used to be. Websites are always slower than native apps. This is my main issue with the new versions as well, so my only choice is to downgrade and if they make old clients not work I'm canceling my premium.

I fucking hate spotify right now, they have not logged me in via facebook for a month and even though I am a premium member their support is useless and the functions for resetting the password just put me in a loop.

I hate it too, especially removing a basic function like CTRL+F to search a list... like your starred tracks. Why would you remove this?

Also ever since this update I get zero ads even though my premium has run out for 2 months now I haven't got a single ad. I double checked to make sure that I'm not premium. Either their system glitched my account or I don't know but considering that I was on the verge of unsubbing due to the update I'm just going to leave it like this until I get an ad.

I can't stand the iOS client and how it handles navigation. I should be able to swipe left to right and always be brought back to the main menu. Instead it's the equivalent of hitting the back button and I sometimes cycle through window after window after window.

Their reliance on playlists continues to piss me off too. If I only want to listen to a specific artist I have to search for them, and hope they come up in offline search, and then hopefully pick what would be track 1 of the album.

The desktop player looks like something from someone who just learned about HTML, iframes and tables back in 2000.

And yet it's still infinitely more reliable than Rdio.

Me either. I search for an artist/playlist then hit play. I must be using it differently than everyone else.

Seems they are using it for their large collection of local files, as well. I have none, and only work with playlists I've already made. *shrug

I have a random question.

I use my Facebook account to log into my Spotify account (premium), and I now want to deactivate my Facebook account due to school. Is there any way that I could transfer my existing Spotify account from a Facebook account to a regular email account, or am I fucked?

The fact you can't minimize to the system tray anymore is fucking stupid. Do the people that make this program even use PC's?
