The Nintendo Switch is a Month Away

I'm really excited for the release and Zelda. The whole concept of the console is fantastic to me. Taking Breath of the Wild on the go sounds crazy fun.

Not to turn this into a blog post but I start chemo next week for a while, and having a Switch would be great while sitting around during treatment.

Geeze, I hope it goes well and you enjoy your Switch!

I have my Switch and Special Edition Zelda BotW pre-ordered and ready to go.

I haven't been this hyped for a game since OoT. When this trailer came out for OoT I waited all day (56k) to download the quicktime movie from IGN and watched it over and over again religiously.

I now find myself doing the same thing with BotW's recent Switch presentation trailer. I can't get enough of that music.

I'm ready for this. I'm all in.

I believe in you, Nintendo.

I believe in you, Aonuma.

The question is how Nintendo will take advantage of the next four weeks. Superbowl ad aside, I'm betting on a pre-launch Direct.

Just did my ritual "previous gen game purge". Only kept my favorite Wii U games. Got ~$110 for the trade ins, which isn't bad for a handful of games!

Man, I can't wait 'til Zelda. Post-bank Pokémon and Fire Emblem Heroes should keep me occupied for the time being!

While first I was very sceptical after the reveal trailer since the Switch Event on January 12th and my participation with the Switch Fan Event on January 17th I'm fully on the Hype Train. CHOO CHOO

Preordered Switch Neon, Zelda Limited, 1 2 Switch, Super Bomberman R, Pro Controller and the official case.
Since I have birthday on March 2nd everything fits perfectly together. First console launch since the Wii's back in 2006 that I'm really hyped.

Can't wait!

does 1-2 switch have any value for a single player? trying to decide what games I want at launch that are mostly a solo experience and, well, I can't think of any outside of Zelda really. what am I missing?

Will likely wait until Mario Kart comes out or wait until my birthday in August (unlikely I'll hold out that long haha). Looking forward to it! Will get a chance to play it in early April when I visit home and see my friend who is getting it day 1 for Zelda.

Unless you want to milk a cow with both hands at the same time there's only one minigame in 1-2-Switch that's suitable for solo play.

If you want a solo experience that isn't Zelda then look at Binding of Isaac (if you haven't played it yet the Switch version is insanely huge) and/or Bomberman R which apparently has a sizeable campaign. I'm sure there will be some eShop games at launch that we don't know about yet as well.

EDIT: Oh, and Has Been Heroes. Though I'm not really feeling it on that game right now, watch some gameplay footage before buying for sure.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who does this! I traded my Wii-U, Wii, 3DS and accessories and came out with a cool $450 to use on Switch. Can't complain considering I know I'll be able to play my favorite games from those consoles on Switch at some point.

Easily as excited as when I got the N64 with Ocarina.... yet so much more excited!!!!! Hold me Gaf...

Nintendo did their absolute best to kill my hype at the presentation and that has prevented it from getting to the Wii/Vita levels it was at before that presentation for me, but nevertheless I am excited for Zelda and more portable Binding of Isaac goodness on launch and the potential of what may be to come.

i am!

i was so excited before the january event but my hype dropped after the january event. i started regretting not pre ordering when they went live. i have it preordered now (grey model) and it says it'll arrive 4th march but i think i left it too late.

i'll only be played zelda at launch but i can't wait.

Maybe when XB2 and mario odyssey are out,and the price is sane,I will care about this system.
But at that price and with this library,I couldn't care less about the switch.

The closer we get to release, the more excited i am about the device. When i preordered, i did it mostly because "why not". Now i'm really excited about having a powerful handheld, soon.

Only getting Zelda at launch, but there'll be enough indies (hopefully) by the time i'll be taking it on an actual trip / flight.

The one-two punch of Zelda followed by I Am Setsuna (after my BotW thirst is quenched) will make the drought manageable.

Cautiously excited. I have mine pre-ordered, along with Zelda and a Pro controller. Just hope that Zelda is *amazing* since that's all I'm interested in until Mario.

I want to believe N has learned from a lot of things, but I can still see various flaws so far. We shall see!

My excitement is palpable I need to finish my current game (Tales of Bersaria) so I can dedicate all my free time to Zelda!

Can't wait to play the best version of the game of the decade on this thing and have the be able to use it as a portable to.

I would say Super Bomberman R and I Am Setsuna (if you like RPGs and don't already own it on other systems)

i can't say i'm hyped and i'm trying to keep my hype levels low since it will mostly only be zelda for me at launch. My hype level for zelda is actually pretty low as well. Only that first zelda trailer hyped me up for it but it has steadily decreased as time has gone by. I'm just not that impressed by the game i guess. All i got from the new trailers and gameplay was yay physics? and yay voice acting?

You're asking if I'm excited?

I am very excited for the launch of Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch with Gray Joy‑Con together with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild I have pre-ordered. Later on I will likely purchase a Pro Controller.

Hopefully they show the os and give us USA pricing on the online component soon. Less than a month and we still haven't officially seen the menus.
