Can someone explain insane mode to me. I finished the game and now have insane mode available to me and my leveled up character. If I choose to start insane mode with my character can I no longer use that character on the completed map on the default difficulty? Or can you travel between both modes?

Awesome, I am no longer stuck on Full Moon because after taking a break and coming back to it, the game now somehow thinks I've beat Full Moon and I can proceed.

so what is the second magic ability you unlock from the magic skill bar?

I guess actually im asking what is the third magic ability because one RT+Y is already available at the start.
From memory (may be slightly incorrect)...
First bar allows you to shoot projectiles with B (also when jumping)
Next one allows you to use Y while jumping (diagonal magic)
The following I think embeds your attacks with magic, so that sometimes you get elemental dmg when meleeing
The last (?) is a jump magic attack with A.

Is something wrong with my game or am i just a n00b? I loaded it up and i'm back to level 1 just like I've never played. But on the leaderboards it still shows me at lvl 12 which i got to yesterday? I thought your level was supposed to be persistent between play sessions? None of the characters I unlocked are there, either.

Oh, and I finally got into a public online game, and I saw the host's fish-mouth armory that had a bitchin' golden +4 magic and +2 stength sword that I totally want. Any hints?

Finished the game but I can't find insane mode, where is it?

Isn't the last boss' sword the fire one with the dragon face? (The very end of your armory, +2 in three stats and does occasional fire damage) My roommate was the one who got to pick it up when we beat the game last night, and now its forever on his profile, mocking me. <_< But I'll worry about that later.
I'm buffing my magic as much as possible, so the one I was eyeing was near the start and towards the middle of the armory. Just a regularly shaped sword, only golden color.

Played this with 3 friends (local) last night and....WOW!!! Not only did this game meet expectations but it far exceeded them! The graphics were just so crisp and vibrant it was so agonising just to play the game cuz it meant walking to the right and that meant leaving scenery behind which was so painful cuz every single inch of it was drop dead gorgeous!
I love the simplicity of it all, magic, combos, jumping....everything, it was all perfect and yea it can get a bit chaotic at times but it's always controlled chaos, like the only time you'll really get lost is if you take your eyes off your character or if you're not concentrating.
When I beat my two mates to secure a kiss with the princess I actually burst into laughter, i can't remember the last time I had such a blast playing a co-op game!
Absolutely amazing! To think that so many rubbish games sell for like $100 (aus) and this game is going for $15!!!! Man it's criminal! I would glady pay around $300 for a game like this, infact I i've been waiting forever for a simple arcade styple beat-em-up with so much care, attention, detail and depth! This game is right up there with the D&D games infact it's a bit better but that's to be expected in this day and age.
Thank you Behemoth, I seriously cannot wait to see what your next project is and I hope you make bucketloads of cash from Castle Crashers because it's an absolute steal at that price! Honestly if even an arcade game needed to be a retail game Castle Crashers is it, it's just begging for some box art!
Btw I bought Alien Homenid just for the hell of it (for the art style actually) cuz you guys are so awesome!

So far, I've only been able to get online once and that was yesterday, but it was the most fun two hours I've had. Since then though, THIS GAME IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. 
Thankfully the no saving bug seems to have stopped for me, and I hope that my Alien will eventually not have the pitchfork anymore.
Other than those common nitpicks, this is a truely great game.

So I've upgraded my magic to the fourth special bar and I've still got five more slots to go before maxing it out. Is there any point in maxing it out since I won't be gaining anything apart from increased damage/mana regeneration? Would it be better to work on my strength/defense now?
