Same could be said about half the shows on the list too. The Shield and BSG got screwed big time. Both were top contenders for Best Drama.

The only shows I would knock off that list would be Damages and House.

Edit: And neither S4, 4.0, or 4.5 of BSG deserved a nod.

Really now? I'd like to see the reasoning behind this.

Also, Michelle Forbes deserves a Best Supporting Actress nod.

The reasoning? Easy.

MARYANNE.

And while I thought she was good, the character didn't have the material to merit a nomination.

Yes she is.

Wrong season - S2 aired out of Emmy contention, only S1 was eligible (and won the show a Casting Emmy last weekend).

I'm live blogging the show as opposed to Twitter or here or any other possible location. But, part of me (the subjective, biased part) wants to join the chorus of complainers. Alas, I've learned too much about complexities of the Emmy process to be able to be shocked or angered with things don't go the way you expect.

Bolded = what I think should win. (No bold = no care.)

Compared to LOST, it definitely did you crazy sonofabitch.

Besides, everyone thinks it's about Mad Men and Breaking Bad, but I wouldn't be surprised if Damages or Dexter won. :D

Really? Why didn't it qualify?

Lost was fantastic. Halfway through season 2 of True Blood and Lost kills it.

So very wrong. True Blood was much better than LOST S5. S4, I would've agreed, but S5? No. Just no. S5 is about as good as S2 of LOST, but that's about it. It was a letdown compared to S4.

I've seen the first 4 episodes or so of this season of Lost and I seriously think it's jumped the shark in a massive, massive way. It's a confused mess and I really hope that people are right when they say it turns out to be a good season. I'll have to keep watching...

Couldn't disagree more. Season 5 was just as good, if not better than season 4.

It's not confusing at all. What is confusing you? Maybe I can answer.

That would be extremely surprising.

It just aired this past summer.

Okay so Family Guy is nominated for a lot of stuff, then for outstanding animated program it isnt even listed.....but american dad is. Family guy was nominated for best outstanding voice over and even best comedy competeting with non animated shows, but some how for outstanding animated program it couldn't make it.....

Emmys are so pathetic.

30 Rock/Mad Men
Jim Parsons/Tina Fey
Hugh Laurie/Glenn Close
NPH/Amy Poehler
Aaron Paul/Rose Byrne

Those are my picks on who will win.

I'd love to see it happen though. It'd make the Supernatural snub seem a little more bearable. See LOST S5 was really good for the first half, then around the middle it went downhill and picked back up for the last 3-4 episodes. It felt better than S2 at times, but at other parts worse. I think when I rewatch it on Blu-Ray I'll hold a better opinion of it. That's how I watched the previous seasons.

lol Forgot. Be cool if they made an exception though. :lol

Really digging NPH.

And S2 of TB started strong and then ran out of gas about halfway-ish through.

And S5 of LOST is one of the best seasons ever. Loved the whole thing, especially the middle and end.

True Blood S2 isn't even up for contention. S1 was, but everyone forgot about that. I don't have HBO so I can't watch True Blood S2, but I'd love too. From what I've heard, it's 3x better than the first. So I highly doubt S2 runs out of gas.

Awesome. Pushing Daisies win! :D
