The Official Halo 3: ODST Thread

I've got some render minutes I'm not going to be able to use before they recharge tomorrow, so feel free to PM me links to some replays you want rendered. Just make sure they're cool. One per customer, plz.

Ban John A Branch and P4ntyPorpourri. BAN THEM. I have never been more insulted by anyone in any videogame in the past five years as I was this last game. All for living in France (I'm a American citizen but hey, that doesn't count).

"This game was made in America" "Get off our game" "Only Americans worked on this game" "Fuck you fuck you fuck you..." Six minutes straight (the game didn't last long as 67% of my teammates' sole purpose was insult me and betray me, it was a 6 on 2)... Sometimes I'm ashamed to be an American citizen..

Oh, and I got betrayed the whole game, yet did not receive the option to boot them? So please Bungie, even if you don't ban them/get them banned, at least include sometime or another a message in the H3 MM menu similar to the current one concerning giving out personal information (good idea by the way), stating how Halo ("the Halo" they kept calling it, learn proper grammar..) is a game meant for all to enjoy, not just Americans.

Arg, who wants to play Team Snipers/Team SWAT (mid 30s in those playlists), or Team Mythic to relax? Add SAE Magni so I don't have to deal with shitty (in the full sense of the term) teammates..

What time zone are you talking about? If you mean 9 in GMT (AKA in about 5 minutes) then I'll join in.

how did you not mute them in the firest minute they started talking. i mute people so frequently that i sometimes see people already muted in the game lobby from a past game.

Pretty sure the network guy is a kiwi actually. but fuck your xbox live citizen anyway, the mute option is handy.

I guess they were playing the 'i'm going to shoot you until you have no shield and then you get killed by the other team' game? Halo seems to have some kind of detection where no other enemies were nearby to discover blatant betrayals I think.

Some of those levels are huge and two people gets boring hellua fast specificly if the other person doesn't have a mic.

Yup but I doubt one would kill you? Plus say you were to get a team of 3-4 wraiths, grunts would have a hard time getting close enough to even toss a non dodgeable stick.

Yup, it would have to be a team effort - a screen of infantry to make sure the Grunts don't get close enough.

I foresee many Wraith betrayals.

Agreed. What's funny is how he forces these maps with no sight lines and shouldn't belong in Team Snipers in the first place into the rotation. Heretic and Assembly DO NOT belong in the Snipers playlist, especially with the god awful radar on. Turns into a grenade fest, especially for Heretic.

Why isn't Last Resort in Team Snipers?

Remove Radar from that playlist, and fix Throwback, and I'll play those two playlists exclusively.

O wait theres Wraiths on Lost Platoon! I was just thinking Security Zone map because thats the map I saw em do it on youtube, You could have Wraits AND choppers. That'd be awesome.

So tomorrow's the seventh and if I'm correct there hasn't been a word about the 7 on the 7th playlist. I'd assume it would be another day of community maps but ODST just came out so there's a chance they'll do something with those new maps like 7 person AR FFA on midship and citadel. I really hope that isn't the case though because community maps barely get any play as it is and coupled with Shishka's limited presence on Atlas, there isn't much motivating forgers to create good maps or improve existing ones. Still, no word on any additions/removals/updates so who the fuck knows what's up.

Should be a permanent playlist.

You can get in a wraith during the campaign level with the banshees. They're not very useful on the level of course but you can get a few kills. Not sure why there'd be any problems with it on bnet.

Well I was thinking more in Firefight, since that mode was made to prevent you from using a Wraith. If b.net was coded to pick up Wraith kills and Firefight was made to try and stop you from using them, no issue. But if they didn't design the site to pick up the Wraith as the tool of destruction in Firefight, it wouldn't (I assume). So I was wondering which it was.

I'm guessing it would show up. But I thought I'd toss out the possibility.
