Vast Inspiration said:As for the wii-website review, its pure nonsense, comparable to the earlier review from associatedcontent. The guy complains about the game being dark and having to use the visor often....which is the point. The visor is terrific and I wish that it could be retroactively applied to some really dark levels in Halo 2. Its infinitely better than the crappy flashlight. And you'll play the bulk of the game in flashbacks so its not even a real issue anyway. The visor is perfectly integrated with the visuals and you'll never complain that its annoying to use it or you're staying in that mode for too long.
I don't know, man. I think the VISR should've just been on as a default. It's almost always more beneficial to the player to have it on. Unless you're looking directly at the sun, there's not really any reason to turn it off.
Vast Inspiration said:Also, the game will be 5 hours...if you play it on Normal. But then aren't other Halos around the same length in Normal? Maybe an hour longer? Play it on Heroic like any self-respecting Halo fan, and I assure you it is a a full length campaign. No question. The haters are grasping at straws with the whole "expansion" connotation. If you picked up any previous Halo for full price, there is no reason you shouldn't pick this one up as well.
Yeah, when you play the levels on Easy, you see how really short they are in terms of time and geography. It was taking us between 3 and 8 minutes to finish the missions on Easy. On Legendary, it was taking us between 20 and 40 minutes.
