Lackluster line and launch at my local shitty GameStop. But I got it. Gonna check out the new maps first!

Heh. I've been cruising around in that for a couple years. A few months ago I found someone else in town with the same frame, and we drove next to each other for a while. I think the car behind us was confused by it. :lol
 
HDD Installation |
The ODST Campaign/Firefight disc is optimized for HDD installation.
The Halo 3 Mythic disc is not - it is Halo 3, which was optimized for disc streaming - and installing it will result in slower loading times.

I beat campaign a while ago. Pretty bored until I can do up some co op. Most of my friends are west coast, so I still have a few hours to wait.

Any of you east coasters up for some games?

Just started playing, campaign is incredible and beautiful. It's just soooo good I don't even wanna go into details. I don't remember being this satisfied with a Halo since Halo 1. Sorry to whoever is Lazlo for ignoring your xbl party invite, I turned notifications off and I'm gonna be completely dedicated to Heroic Solo until I finish it.

I need to do this...but i'll probably take firefight invites. No co-op for me till I finish up SP heroic though.

But back to my question, 360 can stream zune software playlists from your PC right?
 
Just got my shipping confirmation from Amazon. Guess I'm joining this crazy club :) And I managed to stay spoiler free throughout all of the hype. Hoorah.

Awesome. Went to Best Buy, got a sweet shirt and played up until
Superintendent gives you the nav data.
Unbelievably happy with the work, so far. Unfortunately, I must stop. School. Will add GAF Firefight gamertag as soon as I re-up Gold. But, I'm definitely gonna wanna play through the campaign fully beforehand. Maybe twice/thrice with girlfriend and/or friend.

Finished campaign. Probably shouldn't have played that long, but I'll be up for some firefight tomorrow after class. Probably be home around 2 pm eastern.

master chief gets pissed at the rookie and kills him within a fraction of a second.
 
So I don't have it yet, but my copy will be waiting for me when I get home from work tomorrow at 5pst!

Yeah thats me, its cool im sick anyway so i drank a shitton of Nyquil and going to bed. For some reason the multiplayer disc wouldnt even play for me...weirdddd...good night Gaf get some headshots.

have to get up tmr at 7am but cant fall asleep and get up again to watch the live action trailer and keep jizzing in my pants and nao even more excited and cant fall asleep...
 
So to those of you who already got it. Does ODST play nice with the install to hard drive feature? I remember Halo 3 being a bit janky when I installed. :/
 
Citadel spawns seem suspect. Multiflag BRs was ridiculous easy because you spawn right next to the flag even when they've grabbed it (in my experience).

I'm not playing until the morning and I'm sure most people won't. I just picked it up so that I can wake up to a bowl of oatmeal and ODST.
 
Picked up my copy at Gamestop midnight event.


ummm is it me or does this game suck

Seriously I was playing coop with my brother and we were just looking at each other thinking wtf is this shit.

The intro was terrible, it was what two minutes long of IG cutscenes? No backstory on anything except for that lame star wars esque scrolling text thing.

The scenes playing the rookie are so dark I can't see shit even with the visor playing split screen. And when I was playing Dutch it still wasnt quite bright enough, but when I turned on the visor it was too bright.

The city all looks the same so far and it gives you the illiusion of a big open space but its kind of pointless when there really isnt anything to find or do except following the nav point.


I do like the new guns, and visor mode for the most part. And the new music is cool. But so far it really feels like shit. And I did enjoy Halo 3, though the story was a bit muddled

Edit: the audio logs of the chick are a very nice touch, best part of the game so far.
