Filled up my Firefight medal chest, just for kicks. I've restarted on Heroic (Tough Luck, Catch) to quickly grab the Good Samaritan achievement. It is so, so much easier this way. I would almost recommend that anyone who has any familiarity with playing the games on Legendary (or anyone who has been playing the MP to death since Halo 3's release) start on that difficulty. Heroic feels like a paler game in comparison.

just finished the game ( loved it ) on legendary and I was sitting with a grin on my face waiting for aaalll the different difficulty achievements to blast my face....waiiiting....still waiiiting....credits roll...end....back to lobby WTF!? Checked my mission status and of fucking course all of the levels/mission have a legendaryskull indicating completion except the last one...

Yesterday I started a co-op campaign with a friend on legendary and we almost finished it, we played 4 hours straight, the game is heavily on the short side.

You can do this - but you might not get all the completion achievements. (You'll get the 'Finished the game on X difficulty' - but you won't get stuff like 'Super Sleuth'.)

I must read up more on ODST. It seems I am clueless about things like the "hub" and "super sleuth". :lol

I really didn't keep up with ODST news so it wasn't until a few days ago that I learned that it was $60. Total fucking rip off. A glorified expansion pack for $60? Yeah right. Fortunately, I found someone who was willing to sell me just the multiplayer disc. I just wanted to finish all of the Halo 3 achievements. Never thought I'd have to buy ANOTHER game to finish an original game's achievements.

That's so fucked up that Bungie/Microsoft/Whoever wanted gamers to spend $60 for 3 new maps.

There's more content in ODST than in most other games for the same price.

It definitely works - I have no idea if just connecting two xboxes together via ethernet cable will work; I've always used a router (I'm sure others here could tell you).

Just select System Link from the part where you would normally pick xbox live.

You can. My bachelor party is tomorrow and I tested this very thing yesterday. I used a router/hub though. Although I'm almost 100% positive you can just hook a CAT-5 from one 360 to the other.

FireFight is going to be great for the people who aren't very into Halo's PvP Multiplayer.

Broke 2M on Lost Platoon last night and got my Endure achievement. Felt we could easily have done it on Legendary with the setup we had. At one point, we had 32 lives in reserve.

And I repeat, Mythic + Black Eye + Buggers = sad panda.

that sucks. I thought the same happened to me, as it took forever for the achievements to pop after the credits. I was getting nervous since I had just beat the campaign solo on legendary and wanted my damn achievements.

I was thinking more along the lines that the wireless router would need to pick up both wireless 360 dongles and be able to transmit information between the two. Which should not be a problem, I've just never tried it. I'd imagine that the wireless router essentially plays the role of the CAT-5 cable and just makes your 2 dongles connect.

Just don't cross the streams.

1) Yes.
2) The disc itself is the beta invite.

You need a crossover cable if you are gonna direct link it without a hub.
