The Official Halo 3: ODST Thread

Although Halo 3 is an absolutely fantastic multiplayer game, I really don't feel compelled to finish ODST. I probably will, as the shooting is so solid that it carries the game, but I feel everything surrounding ODST from graphics to story, voice work, and AI are kind of underwhelming.

There are Spartan III's in Ghosts of Onyx: nearly have the book is about their origin and development. Given the timeline, it's entirely possible that there were a couple of Spartan III's on Reach, though they wouldn't be that old. (My memory is a bit fuzzy on the details of the book, too).Gui_PT said:

Ghosts of Onyx is my favorite I think. I just finished re-reading it. It's like the third or fourth time I've read it but the first time in quite a while. I still think the ending could come into play in future Halo games.
Just took a little bit to update my File Share with almost all current stuff for the first time in quite a while. Put my 22-0 Perfection game in there, and a nasty stick on Midship. I mean...Heretic. Got my 5 Hammer Kills on Assembly achievement just now too.

I was kind of surprised when reading The Fall of Reach. I was expecting it to include battles down on Reach's surface, but sadly it did not. It has been like 5 years since I read First Strike, so I guess I had forgotten that that book covered Fred and Kelly with the other Spartans down on Reach and some of their actions. So anyways, if anyone is curious as to what actually happens with Spartans battling on Reach, then you will want to read First Strike.
After finishing The Fall of Reach, I have this urge to play Halo: CE now haha.
