urk said:This may have already been mentioned. Snowbound HC. Wat Da Fuck? You're supposed to be making these maps better, Bungie! Christ, it's like everything that made the map somewhat bearable was removed and replaced with a Carbine.
I was all playing in the sandbox with my little plastic shovel and then I uncovered a turd.

There's plasma grenades at the bases and there is two Brute Shots on each side -- between bases. Brute Shots destroy Ghosts.urk said:I won't argue that point, but I will say that they could have just removed the shotgun and left the BRs and Spartan laser in. Basically, the only power weapon is the sniper and the Ghost is left without a counter balance.
Also, anyone else notice a hug influx of "new" accounts? It seems like every single ranked game I enter, no matter the playlist, is filled up with players who are clearly not new, but have low EXP totals.

Dark Planetoid - love it so long as its focus is the forerunner back story. I am ok and really would like to see more of the Chief and Cortana...so this would be a great re-invention of the series as there would be no Human/Covenant influence...Mr Vociferous said:HALO 4: DARK PLANETOID RISING, of course. Or, they just like beating newbies.
Really? that sounded like pure speculation to me...Cocopjojo said:Yeah, like voc mentioned, the rumours I have heard indicate that the title will be "Halo 4: Dark Planetoid Rising," or Halo 4: DRP, as I believe it is internally referred to.

"Chief! Wake up!"
"How long was I out?"
"Less than five minutes. The planet. Something's happening. It's...activating."

That pisses me off, I've never lagged out of a game before when on the University's pipes. It seems like things were running alright until we started pulling ahead then the game went to shit. Judging from how long it takes me to level up that game probably set me back 10 - 20 wins. I can't blame people for making alts, I feel like using one myself to see where I'd really be.JdFoX187 said:http://www.bungie.net/Stats/GameStatsHalo3.aspx?gameid=417245888&player=MasterFox187
There's that game that we lagged out of last night. Somehow, we had more kills and they still won according to Bungle.

Depending on who you talk to characters like Mario could be used to lay claim to either side of the argument. The Halo universe is rich, the character set is plentiful - a lot of fans would like to see a new story, new characters and a new part of the fiction in the universe we've come to love. In situations like this, there's always a portion of the community who feel trepidation in seeing the characters they love running their course longer than they should. Unlike a film or a television show, for example, video game players have invested hours upon hours, for years, not only watching the story play out but interacting and communicating in it. In some situations, when the content is as compelling as the Halo franchise is, the players have actually invested more time and thought than was taken to produce the title itself.soldat7 said:You just don't put a character that rivals like likes of Mario in the closet.

That being said and countering what I've argued previously, if Bungie did decide to use the Chief and Cortana and that story was compelling rather than broken, I would be interested. Yes, I redact/retract, when necessary.

I would like it more if there were more maps and gametypes. I keep getting the same shit.GhaleonEB said:I was kind of surprised at how limited the MLG playlist is. I knew they yanked all of the equipment, turned off the radar and spawn players with the BR regardless of map. I didn't realize they took out the Assault Rifle entirely, along with the SMG and shotgun. I didn't spot a Needler or Plasma rifle either, nor spike grenades. The greater speed and increased damage means it's down to a slightly frenetic BR headshot fest. I thought it was terrible, and strips the game of many of the things that make it good.
I'm glad the playlist is there, since it's been in demand. But I'm also glad I'll never have to play it again.

There's no automatic weapons in MLG, as they don't require as much skill as semi/non automatic guns. And no spike grenades for conistency, as they have a different weight/physics than a plasma grenade.GhaleonEB said:I was kind of surprised at how limited the MLG playlist is.
