Where did you read this? The reveal only said it was similar to Lockout, Warlock and Sanctuary.Striker said:Ghost Town, I read, is supposed to be similar to Turf.
RocketMoose said:The inherent risk in any such secondary system is that it could encourage people to act in a way that contributes to their secondary statistics and not to the team's victory conditions. A good example might be if you awarded some kind of secondary prize for kills in an oddball game, and several of your teammates ignored the ball completely, and just went for kills, costing you the win.
There is one secondary recognition you can get even when you lose, which is MVP. The stat isn't perfect, but does show players who were very strong contributors to their team.
A secondary system that no one knew about or understood would just be frustrating (like how the MVP is awarded). And making it take 5 games or whatever wouldn't stop people from going after it. That would just increase the amount of games that people spend doing it.roosters93 said:What about if Bungie made a secondary system and didn't tell the players?
Or just made doing secondary things not as important as winning.
For example, getting the most kills in an oddball game would only rank you up after doing it 5 times or whatever.
MVP should rank up or at least get some skill/EXP for it.
Even if they are on the losing team.

It must take serious effort to quit that much. What a loser.alisdair said:Why hasn't this guy been banned from matchmaking yet? He quits out of basically every game.

Yeah, I'm convinced Bungie has no automated way of banning anyone. In the latest BWU they said they had people going individually over each potential winner's game history to check for cheating. You'd think they'd have something more sophisticated then thisalisdair said:Why hasn't this guy been banned from matchmaking yet? He quits out of basically every game.

Enemy. We should have an internet fight. I shall write long posts explaining the greatness of Turf, but later resort to rampant sarcasm and all-around nastiness. You should use the fact that you are a higher rank than me to explain snarkily that low-level players like me don't understand what makes a good map. In the end, we'll have Ghaleon beg us to be nice, and Urk can derail the fight by talking about fecal matter. In the end, the fight will stop abruptly, with both of us putting each other on our Ignore Lists.armubaba said:As for Turf. Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of Turf. I'd go so far as to say I dislike it. Dislike it a lot.

Backwash was good. Limited amounts of Battle Rifle and no grenade starts on the map. There were some grenades lying around but not much, so it made it enjoyable. The bases were also symmetrical and the overall map layout was nice, if I say so myself.soldat7 said:Like Backwash? That was one of my favorite maps. So atmospheric. Lots of good customs on that one.
There were probably some balance issues as well. I remember there being an insane amount of framerate lag on Colossus with the ninja games on there. They took those out soon after. But Backwash had potential to be a great map. I didn't mind the BR starts in Hardcore because it was so hard to see very far in front of you. And there were hardly any grenades, which automatically makes it awshum.Striker said:Backwash was good. Limited amounts of Battle Rifle and no grenade starts on the map. It was taken off MM, from what I understand, because of the 360/Xbox game emulator. When somebody had the invisibility, it caused some weird framerate lag. But instead of simply removing the item itself, they removed the map. :|

yeah, mine. Ages two (almost three) and five, Bridget and Natalie, respectively. We haven't done professional photos in a few years and just did these yesterday. I couldn't come up with a better way to restore civility.Blueblur1 said:Great pics. Your kids, I take it?
Reminds me that my mom desperately wants good photos of my awesome little niece. I should call a photographer and get some family photos going especially since my mom's birthday is this Thursday. lol
Hush. Putting an end to all grenades is JD's big thing. And he gets sort of upset when you disagree. But I still love him! Even if he doesn't love me.KevinRo said:::FACEPLANT::

I actually agree, which is why it's been four years since we had them done last. It's artificial and very frustrating and confusing for the kids. My wife had these done spontaneously while I was at work. But I have to admit, they turned out well.the disgruntled gamer said:Also, your kids are cute and all, but I need to go on a little rant: If I ever have children (god forbid), I would never take them to a studio to get pictures. A picture should be able to reflect something about what's in the picture, and I don't feel that cheesy, staged photos from a studio do that. I'd much rather take my kids to the park, and get a photographer to come along and take pictures of them being natural.

Understand that it is not people hating on Halo, its just pointing that the graphics are disappointing. This fact however is understandable because of the myriad of features that Halo 3 offers that puts it as the crowning achievement of gaming in general. Yes, I repeat there is no fucking game better than Halo 3. At the same time, I am not blind and CoD 4, The Orange Box (not so much on the 360), Gears of Wars, and many other games look much better than Halo 3 from a technical point of view. Thats all. How is that "hate"?Kibbles said:What's with all the hate against Halo 3? For a thread on good games with BAD graphics people are listing Halo 3. I know that after my post many trolls got into the bandwagon just to shit on the game, but does it really matter? The whole system wars bullshit that goes on in this forum confuses people, and makes it seem that a simple critic like mine its a trolling attempt, but you couldn't be more wrong. Also, if I criticize Halo 3 is because I limit myself to comment on games that I really play or plan on playing. If a game isn't interesting to me why would I even comment on it? Lost of people do it, I think its wrong.
Chinner said:i think the graphics in halo are pretty good but there are a few things which annoy me about them. For example, I love the grass but i dislike how its effected by the LOD circle and in about 10 meters in front of me i can just see the bare ground with none of that lovely lovely grass. grass.
i also dislike how at the top of jump if you look down your shadow disappears because of lod, it did the exact same in halo 2 and its a shame they didnt improve on it.
