"Honestly, if you're that huge of a Halo fan, 10 bucks really isn't shit. I'm buying the COD4 maps and I play that game like 3 times a week.
I could see if these maps were frickin straight ports from Halo 1/2 with higher res textures, but these maps have such insane detail in them that paying a little cash for them really isn't that big of a deal to me. I wouldn't do it for a game I barely play though, but for a game that I know I'll be playing for years, I have no problem."
I did buy the first pack, and I'll most definitely buy this. I say it coming from the angle of other people who aren't so willing to give in to this kind of stuff, even if they are huge fans.
At the end of the day we'll be paying $30 for 9 maps, whereas the Halo 2 map pack (on a disc, with a booklet, slightly fancy) was $19.99. I forget the logistics of how the pricing worked out when buying them beforehand (I remember Containment and Warlock were free, and the rest were split up into two downloads that I believe were quite a bit cheaper than $19.99). If these 3-packs of DLC goodness for Halo 3 were say, 600 points, I think that'd be a nice price to put them at. I'm really not trying to derail/be a troll/any of that, you guys can continue on with what it was you were doing.
I do, however, find it funny that if Luke was still employed at Ziff he'd almost certainly be sharing these same sentiments.
