This was a lot funnier when I went to MLGs forums and one of their top posted threads was "halo 3 boycott".


Haha, I wonder if everyone that posted in the MLG forums stopped playing Halo 3 suddenly, if the numbers would even get a 2% drop in players. The MLG playlist has 5k at any one time compared to even social slayers 50k.

I can't remember who it was (Ram?) but they showed me that the plasma rifle can shoot two rounds and take enough shield off to kill them with a melee. I also demonstrated this to Thermite not too long ago.

It was Keyes who first handed me the CE Pistol. And for that, I will forever get a hard on at the mention of his name.

A lot of the old days crew has moved on. Now there's too many new people that wouldn't understand the heritage. Then there's the people that were from the old days crew that find it to be a stupid meme. You can't kill the messiah, but if he showed up to every party you would get tired of seeing him. Kinda like Ben Stiller.

As long as he makes surprise appearances I'll be happy.
 
As to Halo 3's life span, over the past week I have realized that, while CoD4 is being played more than Halo 3 at the moment, I think in the long run Halo 3 will win out in the end over CoD4.

It seems that Bungie pays closer attention to Halo 3's online community than IW and CoD4 with distributing 6 maps, with three more ahead (compared to the 4 dl maps for CoD4), keeping track of what is popular and what isn't in the hoppers, offering something new for double XP each weekend, etc. Forge should force people to keep on coming back with all the interesting maps that can come from it. Saved films and screenshots are just icing on the cake (its fun to watch your most hilarious moments). Custom game wise, Halo 3's is overwhelmingly customizable concerning the creation of gametypes, compared to CoD4's limited options.
I hope I'm right.

While I do agree with above sentiments....who cares if Halo is #1 or #2, there is enough people playing each game to not worry about it.

Having the #2 game on 360 after a 4 year stint at #1 on Xbox 1 is nothing to sneeze at. Who cares if they're 1 or 2 anyway? Does that affect anyones game experience?

True, but I don't like to see Halo 3 to take a back seat to a game that seems so unequipped. I mean, CoD4 is a good game, fantastic multiplayer, but Halo 3 just offers so much more that it isn't even funny.

I think the thing that bothers me most about it is that I could always have custom games or have huge parties in Halo 2 on Live. Now that the 360 Live community is more dispersed in a variety of games it's harder for me to do the same things I did in Halo 2.

Sure I have friends from GAF to play with but it was something to behold when all of your friends you had from school or work were always on Halo 2.
