Sweet. I was just thinking about this other other day.EazyB said:Just hopped onto Bungie.net to find they've added a new tab in the game history section of the service record. Now there's Matchmaking, Campaign, and Customs. Good thinking.
In the three campaign missions I did (two of them with Merguson) I killed about 350 enemies.
Once upon a time, the ancient race known as The Forerunners built massive rings to contain a horrible infection of parasites known as The Flood. These space rings were known as Halos. The Halos were powered by the fire, water, earth, and wind crystals; the four light crystal with incredible power. And so the galaxy was safe again...Frenck said:No turn-based Halo RPG? :-(
EDIT:
With super deformed characters and a silly storyline of course (like Halo Wars).

But then, the peace was broken... there was a great disturbance in the galaxy... the Halo rings began to fall apart. The galaxy fell into chaos, for the Pirate Lord Umbleck had stolen the four crystals of light and plunged the galaxy into darkness.
233 million kills in about two weeks is, well, a lot. =|Cocopjojo said:I honestly think that this 7 billion thing is out-of-reach for us to try and accomplish in the two weeks or whatever that we have - but I'll continue to step up my efforts nonetheless. Gonna use my extended lunch break today to play through Crow's Nest a couple of times.
Lots of potential up there and a lot of horror as well.Buttonbasher said:![]()

Yeah... this thread has gotten weird lately. Actually, it's always been weird, but especially so, lately.

Either way, stay on topic Halo 3 fans, lest we be smited.

@Merguson, the FR is on its way.
I'm not exactly clear on what exactly we can and can't discuss here. The topics range from the Halo story to Bungie speculation to campaign discussion to multiplayer design dicussion to sicussion of upcoming map packs to hooking up for online play. Several of those seem a bit borderline.WasabiKing said:there's an online thread, use it or this bitch is closed, AGAIN
the disgruntled gamer said:To be honest, seeing as everything in Halo is tied together in a neat little package, I'd really prefer to keep it in one thread.

Well, that's not our call, so no more talking about MP in here for the time being.the disgruntled gamer said:To be honest, seeing as everything in Halo is tied together in a neat little package, I'd really prefer to keep it in one thread.
The line between the online thread and this got a bit murky - my understanding was that coordination of groups hooking up was to be in the Online thread, but other MP discussion, including talking about aspects of the multiplayer game and even recaps of games played (photos) was okay. But like you, I thought that was lifted as well. But it's been a while, maybe I'm mistaken. The Online thread hasn't seen a new post is three months.LukeSmith said:Yeah, a few months ago Evilore closed it because they were reorg-ing the site to focus all Online Discussion to the online forum. At one point, briefly, talking about Multiplayer in this thread was actually bannable.
If this thread gets closed, I'm perfectly content and thrilled with the likely return of multiple Halo 3 threads in Gaming that pertain to what's going on with Bungie or Halo. As is, a lot of information gets muddled up and lost in random chatter in this thread -- which has become a micro-Community in and of itself (which I also like) but that micro-Community can easily migrate discussion to the online thread.
Don't forget the whole thread vanishing because some mod thought it would be funny.LukeSmith said:Yeah, a few months ago Evilore closed it because they were reorg-ing the site to focus all Online Discussion to the online forum. At any rate, on possible end is the closure of this thread, the migration of the discussion of active players to the Online thread, and the return of weekly threads with the Weekly Update to talk about news.
