Geminie?:D When we finished playing my map, I was actualy surprised at how well it worked with three teams. I only designed it around two teams of two to four. I still want to test it out a game of 4v4 on it.

I missed out on the customs last night unfortunately, but I'd be really interested to see how either Agartha or Phaeton played (I'm not sure if you guys even played them), especially since I need three films of each being played in order to submit them to Atlas...its a bit more stringent of an application than I had figured.

I need to re-capture the Infection game. I'll link it when its up. As for the Aspirate game... probably not the best gametype to showcase the map ;)

I'll check and see what games I saved. I don't remember what maps we played (it was 2-3AM UK time, I was tired) but I'm sure we'll be having some more custom nights. Also either myself or Kibbles can capture some gameplay if you're stuck :D

Awesome, thanks a ton. Hopefully I'll have the time to get in on the next customs session, its been a little hectic.

Edit: Also, if anyone has the saved film from any of those games it'd be great if you could put them up in your file share so I could maybe grab them later. You would have my undying respect and manlove.

No doubt dude. We did have some lag issues intermittently but I cant really blame it for 10 shot BR's :/ Whatever map we played last is NOT getting uploaded. I think I had 3 kills....and they were clean-ups. Shite!

Anyway I'll cap a sanctum match later on along with the Infection game cos that looked awesome.

Edit: Just to prove I wasn't playing all that badly yesterday :lol

oh poop I wish I still had mine. There was one map where I no-scoped the overshield dude 3 times while he was rocketing me haha

Oh and don't put up the first sanctum game we played :X i'd rather we watch the one where eagle wanted a rematch ;)

But the rematch is the one I played TERRIBLE in. I did OK on the first one :lol

I'd be more than willing to take someone else's POV for it though

I did much better the first time. Then you went all MLG on everyone and took all of our kills :lol

impressive! jokes aside, those 2 double kills you had in the middle there were sick. That snipe for the double and killing spree was ridiculous. Also, the double you had on their green. Where you got the first kill and was no shields and jumped back out and raped the guy coming from training. Sick! While I was watching that, as soon as you jumped back out to get that second guy, I was like "idiot, that was a dumb move" hahahaha, I was wrong.

Thats the type of shit I think I can do all the time but fails in the implementation stages 75% of the time :lol

I die too much from thinking I can do shit thats pretty much not gonna happen :/
 
Hey guys, I just checked and for some reason I didn't have any of the Sanctum games saved :( if anybody saved a film or has it in their recent games history still, fileshare it and I'll take it off there to capture. Pirates Will be up shortly also :D

Edit: Echo Eagle aka Deep Blue has provided a Sanctum video. Thanks for that due.

wow, i was looking over that game and i decided to see how much of a AR artist dax is.

Come to find out, his tool of destruction is the BURRRR not the AARRRR. I guess that solves the matter then. BR > AR

Aspirate v2

If any of the other forgers want to run games on their maps, I'd be happy to play. I'd especially like to play more Sanctum and Mage, my two favourites so far. Is flag set up for Sanctum?
 
Is there any way to get the Mythic maps beside buying the Halo Wars CE? I really want to check out some of these Sandbox maps but I can't afford the 70 bucks for an RTS game right now. If anyone has an extra code it would be appreciated!

Keep an eye on bnet for updates, look out for contests, scout eBay.

They'll be out on Marketplace anyway before the Easter break, I imagine. Be silly to miss out on all those kids with all that free time.
 
Playing some Unreal 3 has me sad. The vehicles are just complete ass compared to pretty much every Halo vehicle.

I'd even settle for an Elephant.

Objects will "disapear" in Sandbox because they are the default objects and if and once you try to interlock with them the object itself reverts back to it's original position at the start of a new round. Here's how to deal with this.

Have two objects as usual. If one of them is a Default Object then use this following tip. If not, interlock as per usual. Set the DO (Default Object) to whatever time limit respawn (I usually go 90 seconds) and set the Spawn at Start to NO. Make sure the Minimum number of objects allowed on map is less than the number of object/s you're trying to merge. I usually just make sure it's set to 2 as there are normally more than a few of that object on the map at any given time. Otherwise just set it to 0.

Start a new round. Place the second object were you want it to go so it interlocks with the DO. You may notice that DO has returned to where you grabbed it from. Don't worry about this. Make sure you have the second object lined up perfectly (use markers). Now create an object that is the same object type as the Default Object. Press X twice and set the minimum spawn of that object type to the maximum. So if you have 7 on the map, set the minimum to 7. Now find the small blue bubble where the DO was place by your's truely. Change it back to Spawn on map at begining of round and put the timer back to 30 seconds.

Start new round. It should now return to where you put it and interlock with the second object.

Alternatively, use Default Objects in non-interlocking regions of your map. :)

His idea behind the map, recreate the hectic feel of bomberman in halo. players spawn along the edges of the playing field (crypt, with a darker filter and red and blue corners). no radar, no shields, recharging grenades. because it is based on bomberman, you spawn with a useless plasma pistol and melee kills are discouraged (a minus to your point total for each). the emphasis is on explosions. take a high risk and rush to the center of the map for a special powerup, but beware, there are plenty of explosive cores to set off deadly chain reactions around it.

he did an amazing job with it. the layout is nice and professional, it looks GREAT, and it is very fun. your feedback would be appreciated.

I can't decide on whether blending dongs together is a good thing or not. One the one hand, dongs are great. So multiple dongs in one place = better.

On the other hand, multiple dongs in one place.

If other GAFers want to make a list of recommended community maps than that'd be cool. I want to keep my list GAF only because, while we all may not be expert forgers, it's cool to have a collection of what we've made.

I was curious to see how one would deal with the underground section. Your method to elavate the plain the base is on may or may not work in actual play tests but a good idea never the less. Looking good so far. Approve of the bases themselves.
