I watch vids like this, and I wonder why my luck is so bad. There was definitely some great gameplay in the middle there... but at the start, you were shieldless, and exposed on the bridges to the center more than once, and nobody took a shot at you. That NEVER happens to me. (I can win those battles in the middle - the ones that got you into your shieldless state - but the minute I head out to go find cover and recharge my shields, someone hits me with one BR round, and down I go. Every time.)

Assembly seems to be one of those maps where you're exposed from a LOT of sides at almost all times (except when you're hiding in the base) - and I NEVER get away with some of the 'standing in the open with no shields' play that you did. (Plus - that guy you took out with three mauler shots? You started in the Drainer hallway? I get in fights like that regularly - because I'm careless, and use short-range weapons at slightly-longer-than-short-range - and I'm always dead before I get my second shot off. He never fired back!)

All that said... awesome avoidance of grenades, great br'ing, and a very nice Rampage. :D

Making pretty good progress today. :D

Edit: And yes I know not everything is perfectly merged. Right now I am working on a playable iteration. Once I have the layout finalized I will ensure it is smooth.

Seriously though, yeah, I was getting extremely lucky in some spots there. Especially when two people on the opposite team were both BRing me at the same time near the rocket spawn, yet I took one of them out and managed to survive; definitely an "lolwtf moment". I think the reason that one elite I charged at with the Mauler, down where the Drainer spawns, didn't shoot at me because he ran out of ammo. Could be wrong, but I don't see any other reason why he would just stand there looking at me.
 
As much as I loved Prisoner, theres no way it can be remade with the budget/OLN. That plus if you want to remake it in the Crypt, it's too small.

I suggest someone remake a Prisoner Inspired map on the Skybubble... :D
 
lawlz Halo doesn't even run in 720p natively!

edit: and yes if they announce it tonight, today will be the greatest day in a long long time. Got RE5 to keep my occupied tonight :D :D :D

Prisoner is very much doable in the crypt. I remember playing a decent remake in foundry of all places, the main constraint it ran into wasn't the width or lengther either but the ceiling was too low. The crypt is plenty tall and even wider.

I would think the sniper perches from end to end would have been way longer than what the Crypt/Foundry could do but if the gameplay works then I have no objection to Prisoner being remade in the Crypt properly.

It's sort of like how people want to remake Foundation in the Crypt/Foundry but fall short of it since you need the rooms for the bases on the corners.

Not exactly sure if this was the one I played but I just used Bnet's search function and found this file.
 
Do Spartans with 10 sensitivity actually TURN around faster than a Spartan with a lower sensitivity IN the actual game.

If no, does that explain why you will clearly assassinate someone but won't get the assassination but instead they turn around and snipe you in the face?

I believe they do turn faster in game.

Pros like me play on TEN sensitivity
 
The real question/debate here is that if the Gaus Hog Turret actually spins around faster at 10sensativity or not. Sounds like a question for the Halo3 MythBusters. :lol

Sounds like my teammates. Oh Kyle you just won 483 games in a row to get to 49 on your main? Here's two grade 4 colonels against 4 50s on the other team. Enjoy the 48.

Doesn't help that I've played like dog poop for the past week but still this ranking system is so unforgiving its drivin' me up a wall.

Thanks! I'll probably have another pic or 2 later tonight. I was able to add some stuff to top mid. Still need to add some stuff to the "high side," and then the connecting stuff from the "high side" to the blue base. Of course when all that is done I still have to mirror it on the red side. :D
 
Urk has been kicking ass in the Updates lately.

The truth is - and we've relayed this same info over and over again - that we can't clue you into the date just yet. When will we? Soon™. Maybe next week if all goes to plan. Still, something tells us that plenty of you will skip right past this section of the update to ask about the date anyway. Prove us wrong. Please.

the lighting orbs do soooooo much for sandbox... it looks really terrible without them imo
 
Wow, I just went back and played my brother 1v1 in Halo 2 and noticed that the game is sooooo broken. How big are the hitboxes on heads for headshots with the Sniper? I was no-scoping with no problem from across Midship and Lockout.

If i recall correctly it has something to do with the aim assist

Lol I know, my little cousin (14, really good Halo3 player) just got done with a sniper's game. He couldn't believe it either. Had like 27 kills or something. I myself just can't play 2 anymore, I'm just an average 3 player, ever time I go back to Halo 2 it just screws me up!
 
Where was the code located in this week's update?

Also, Insaniac- Any updates on your Ascension remake. I'm really looking forward to it because its probably one of the best halo 2 maps made and I'm so bad at forge I would never be able to remake it.
