Two for One, High Ground, wait for a random BK to grab the Ghost (vehicles are for BK's) then when hes lining up to off someone through either a splatter or his stupid blue shits line both up and fire, it may take all game to set this scenario up so don't plan on winning while playing, although you can win easily since Lone Wolves 50s are basically scrubs, seriously if RippinHeads can get one anyone can.

Steppin' Razor - play enough Lone Wolves games to actually MANAGE to get a game of Swords that doesn't get veto'd. From there just dont suck ass and you'll easily get a triple at one point. This could also become an Overkill, which it did for me on one of my random accounts.

Overkill - Grab Shotgun Regen and Rockets, get a double with the shotgun first though then use the rockets for the people who aren't going to get close to you because they just saw two dumbasses get clowned. Works even better if its like Epitaph Crazy King because that game is so skill-less and random.

Mongoose Mowdown - Just don't play the game as intended, drive around all game looking for a kid focused on another battle, or find a player not playing.

Getting every Lone Wolves achievement shouldn't take more than 20 games or so. Even at level 40-50.

You hear they are giving you Ranked Grifball. You could always get a Grifty, I know you're pretty pro at that.

two for one - splazing a ghost when being boarded (high ground)
overkill - wreck fools
killing frenzy - camp (shotty on epitaph)
steppin razor - dont veto swords and wreck fools
mongoose mowdown - drive around on isolation/high ground get lucky

what level are you? obviously its easier to get these at lower levels. might want to try deleveling on purpose, people at around 20 are sometimes eager to get them themselves and maybe willing to help.

It sucks because it's always red bar. Ugh. I wish the system worked regionally. I always get set up with dirty, dirty Brits and Netherlanders all the time when I play during the day. Can't I just play people on the Beast Coast?

Thanks for the advice Juices, though I'm not anywhere near a level 50 in Lone Wolves.

I'm 8 in Lone Wolves, which once again, I don't attempt to play. I ranked up to 8 because I actually won a game of Slayer ARs(shoot, melee, die, shoot, melee, die so fun, isn't it?) on Guardian.

I'm going to try today, then just wait until Halloween, but it'll probably be Social Infection then with my luck.

i saw some no scopes at the end of that round.

also thanks for the upload i was able to get a pretty good feel of the map i think. looks like this map is going to be good fun

Why do they always let these awful kids play on the new maps first to make these videos? Its like painful to watch all this AR BK shit, and WTF is Sparklabs?

Seriously let me, backflip, tashi, kevinro, kylej, devinolsen, bladed, more good kids i forgot to mention, play a couple games on them. You get no idea how map is going to play because you just have randoms running around with the AR getting a kill then getting killed by some other random AR kid.

By the way, do you have to get the perfection medal in slayer for the achievement? I'm pretty sure I had 17 kills and no deaths on CTF Sandbox yesterday.. :(

That last one is haunting me.

I don't think you get it. It seems that Juices and I are more interested in the way that the map plays as opposed to the actual aesthetics of the map itself. And you can't really judge how well it plays be seeing two teams of 8 scrubs just ARing each other over and over again.

That would be nice, but the average Halo player is not that person.

So, we know that ODST is an Omegathon round. I'm assuming that's going to be Firefight, with the winners of the rounds based on points, right? Or will it just be straight up Halo 3 multi on new maps?

Looks like no one was able to extend the bridge, but I just did it for them.

Looks fantastic. I've been begging for a new BTB asymmetrical map for months.
 
Whoa, ODST has campaign co-op? For some reason I thought it didn't, shit :lol

Do we have any idea how many people or if it's online or not? A quick google search doesn't seem to be giving any answers.

Up to four players online, but only two players for split screen.

Up to 2 on one Xbox, up to 4 over XBL and System Link.
Beat by a very speedy Dax.
 
One thing I worry about is I want to spend a lot of time playing Campaign and Firefight but I also want an easy way to try out the new maps after I'm done. I know in the past the new map playlists only lasted for a pretty short amount of time before being put into the regular hopper. I just hope they have an exclusive ODST playlist of the three maps still there after I finish up campaign.

Well, not campaign but more so Firefight. I have a really busy semester coming up for college so I won't have as much time to play.

Anyway, just a small concern. Not a huge deal.

In my experience, two player is relatively lag free but four player is where I started to run into problems.

The playlist will be there for a while I'm guessing. Also, you can switch off between the discs; play some firefight, then play some Mythic.

It can get pretty bad sometimes, but I've had an overall okay experience with lag on co-op.
 
Few things:

1) Is there going to be Theater mode in the Mythic disc for ODST? I know Theater mode is in the ODST disc for checking out campaign and FireFight films, but I saw Mr. Staten's IGN E3 demo for ODST last night and he said "the theater mode on the ODST disc is where you access all the theater features you had in Halo 3: file share, clips, full-length films, etc.) Kinda weird if there were two Theater modes. :P

3) Yesterday, I tried to re-create playing an ODST on the Crow's Nest level (my favorite campaign level in Halo 3). I used the SMG & Magnum 90%, no BR used (:( ), no equipment used, barely melee'd, barely jumped, on Heroic, Skulls: Fog, Famine, Catch, Tough Luck, Cowbell, Grunt Birthday, IWHBYD.

Was fun, but pretty hard, to say the least.
 
Could someone do me a favor? I need to know if the new maps are up to my standards, but I won't watch any videos until it's a 4v4 game with BR starts and MLG pros playing. Preferably T34M XOgreX and Gr8 Rippinz. This is the only realistic way to determine how much fun a map will be. When these guys play a game, could someone please link me to that feed? Until then, I won't watch any videos, so please hurry and link me when this happens. (This is assuming Bungle is smart enough to let these guys playtest the maps before they're released... which is probably assuming too much.)

Please link me ASAP. If I'm not online here at GAF, send me a message on Live, I'll probably be on Halo 2 Midship practicing my BxB.

btw, rad new maps, but...

Longshore: I preferred The Pit when it was symmetrical.
Heretic: I preferred Midship when it didn't have jaggies.
Citadel: I preferred this one when I played it single-player.

I can't believe this game is coming out so fuckin soon. It's crazy. So are we gonna do NPD sales prediction for first month, or the numbers that MS puts out for first day or whatever? That might be fun.

Good idea. Keep practicing that BxB, I heard Bungie is putting back in button glitches for Heretic! Yeah if Gr8 Rippinz was play-testing, there would be an open window in blackout and the maps wouldn't have so much textures. I'll message my bro T2da2ndPower and see if he can get Bungie to let him playtest, since he is so good and popular and stuff. Only then will we no its good and he'll post a vid up
 
Maps look tight.

Seeing AR starts on Longshore hurt my balls. Seeing AR starts on Midship made me cry, fucking sacrilege. And Midship is small enough that it doesn't need equipment.

Citadel looks nifty but those are some fucking bumpy walls.
