No remakes? I'm disappointed with these maps just because they look like maps and levels I've already seen before. Quite frankly, Halo 3's standard MP maps aren't particularly great and seeing them churn out more mediocre content is very disheartening. Thanks but no thanks Bungie.

Hell yeah. Halo 3 looks like jaggy city on my HDTV when no other 360 game does. Its more of an eyesore than anything else. That's partly why I do not play anymore.

EDIT: And forget these new maps. I'll wait until they're free.

Sigh, the new maps are great but I can't seem to get that great feeling of enjoyment and satisfaction from Halo that I used to get. I just get bored after a handful of matches and end up turning off my Xbox or playing a different game.

What's wrong with Rat's Nest?

I love both that map and Standoff. Foundry is great because of the Forge aspects. Other than that, it's blah.

Next patch of DLC maps should be interesting.

I like the default foundry map. It's probably the closest thing there is to a small map on Halo3 right now. Guardian is a small map, but it is too strung out and disjointed for my liking. The combat always seems to be across the map from where I am, and it takes too long to get from point A to point B. For me, that sort of defeats the purpose of having a small map. There was something special about Lockout that kept it from feeling the same way. I'm not really sure how to explain it.

I can't wait for the next set of new maps.

Rat's Nest is definitely my favorite of the new maps. Loading up in 'hogs and doing laps is crazy fun.

And Foundry's default layout is probably the closest we'll get to a small map for a while. With the melee being broken, I mean changed, close-quarters combat doesn't particularly work and it certainly isn't fun. Bungie realizes this, and that's probably why they didn't give us a single small map in the Heroic Pack (and after making a fuss about "filling out the ranks" in regards to the sizes of maps).

And did we ever get an answer for this?

There are a couple of still-secret, still-in testing adjustments and changes that come to classic Halo vehicles. To say that these changes are the intersection between hysterical and tactical would be a pretty drastic understatement. Other less risque changes coming to vehicles include environment-specific decals being applied to vehicles and certain vehicles have had their weapon systems modified so that they behave differently in multiplayer combat.

I feel like I'm the only person wondering where these things went.

Forge question.

I have an asymetrical map designed for one-flag CTF, one-bomb Assualt and King of the Hill. I would like to set one flag spawn point, and two possible return points (one inside each base). Is this possible?

Right now I have the flag spawn point team set to Defense, and the two return points set to Offense. When I go into a custom game with two players (one on each team), two additional flag spawn/return points appear, just outside the bases. I don't know what I'm doing wrong that Forge requires those two to be in place. Does anyone know?

I feel like I'm the only person wondering where these things went.

I suspect those are one of many things to be bundles into the first update for the game. Bungie hinted that we will hear about them in more detail soon; I'm hoping not too long after the holidays.
