The Oneechanbara TGS kiosk

Okay with in what sense? You don't like the themes or the gameplay? Because I can understand why you'd like those games and not Oneechanbara. But I'm not sure how someone could be okay with the themes in those games while thinking Oneechan goes too far.

I was referring to the themes, but now that you mention it, I do rather like the gameplay of LC and SK much more than Oneechanbara

Crisis of conscience averted!

Dude your over thinking it. Its a giant pair of fake boobs for a game designed to cater to straight male gamers who are into this sort of thing.

It may be tacky but there is zero percent of anything ethically wrong about it. It doesnt have to cater to women you realize that correct? Not everything needs to or should cater to all demographics

I think there would be less crowing about games like this if there were more games that depicted female characters better. Its not so much people want the Oneechanbara’s to go away as it is people want more Gone Home’s (for example) to balance the scales.

This is all your fault GAF!

You might actually like it, it's a fun game/series. 100% brainless fun, though.

Oh I agree I'm all for more games targeted towards a female demographic. I'm a straight male and kid you not was very emotional when I finished Gone Home.

That being said there's a lot of people going into all these profound reasons about how boobs in games are so bad. I've never played an Oneechanbara game in my life but there's nothing bad about this booth.

Sometimes I wonder if it's alright to apply your own cultures morality to other cultures and if so where to draw the line. Morals are obviously not some golden rule that are set in stone but I can't fathom that it's ok to stone a woman for adultery or something. In this case I guess it's alright to find it distasteful but I just kinda think Japan ought to deal with sexuality in their own way, which I'm sure they will continue to do.

Well I meant a people want a more universal appeal rather than splitting it along gender lines, but I think we’re saying the same thing overall.

Yeah we are lol but some games especially those that emphasis a sexual nature will split the demographic. There's nothing inherently wrong with that though as thats why niche's exist.

I wish someone would localize the PS4 version, it looks fun, the trailers always show some cool bosses :C

I think someone on twitter said they really fixed it up. I don't know if that's from the first Kagura Z or based off former titles. Tamsoft generally improves with each title.

Well, they do have to publish it digitally, it makes imports much easier, I guess. It's not like it would have a fantastic story, anyway.

This is hilarious.

I heard the combat and the game in general was kinda repetitive and boring, but seeing how some people get offended by it makes me want to buy 2 copies of the game.

I think I'll do it.

The combat is not too bad. It's like a poor man's DMC. The real problem is that the enemies AI got downgraded from the Wii previous game. Also they reused a lot of bosses which was very lame.

Also they charged 60$ for the game, and cut out the complete content of Aya and Saki and sold it as DLC.

It's kind of funny how the PS3 game was worse than the Wii game in a ton of areas besides graphics.

? That applied to the PS3 version too? I thought it was 360 only. Shame.

Thanks. I'll buy 3 copies :D

And free societies have the right to express condemnation of their sexist opinions. It is a contradiction if you think there's no place for "universal human rights" but that there is a place for such universal statements like "other societies can't criticize."

On the off chance I'm misreading your reply, there's also different standards of free speech before we get onto a tangent about that. Other countries very much "police" certain kinds of hate speech that, for some reason, is deemed perfectly acceptable in the United States.

There is a difference between condemnation/criticism of sexism and an unreasonable expectation of the enforcement against sexism (and by the way, having an unreasonable opinion is certainly fine - I've done nothing to say otherwise - but I can still criticize it the same way we can criticize sexism). And frankly, any society that "polices" certain kinds of hate speech is not a truly free society. We have every right to condemn and criticize that stuff and hope for a time when that kind of hatred goes away - but it should never be forced under some monolithic universal "standard". That would not only be impossible to enforce for a variety of reasons, but it's also morally objectionable because it stifles and encroaches upon people's rights.

It totally did! It also said "Senpai finally noticed me!" for some reason.
Lol. The game is straight up silly. If you can laugh at some of the more ridiculous tropes anime can put forward, the game will keep you in a good mood.

Also, use her taunt a few times and my previous comment will make more sense. ^_^;
