The Onion: New PS4 Feature Allows User To Close Eyes And Imagine Really Fun Game

Get a majority of its library out before 2015. Dem delays hurt :(
But with this new feature it got a huge library of games in an instant. It even plays Nintendo, Xbox and PC games now :)
Seriously though, it can be a pity about those delays that happened indeed, but hopefully it leads to more polished games.

sell vitas
Perhaps, but now that the PS4 can play Vita games too, maybe the Vita sales doesnt need to increase ;)

The WiiU getting angry is one of the best bits.

dead.

People buy into the future. Always have, always will.

Or at least what they expect to be the future. That's why both Sony and Microsoft are so aggressive about garnering and maintaining third party support; once you have it, people expect you'll have it in the future, and buy accordingly even if the games aren't there yet and even if the system is currently selling poorly. That expectation that Sony/MS will turn it around and still get the big games regardless of current sales is an extremely valuable commodity.

I will say the recent post E3 PS4 ad on TV is littered with CGI trailers for 2015 games. And that's kind of odd. I say that as a PS4 owner NOT subscribing to the PS4 has no games BS.

Looked for it on YouTube but no-one uploaded it.

It's cool, the PS4 lets users imagine YouTube videos too.

I don't know what you're talking about. Sony's only discussed home console games on PlayStation Now. PS TV isn't Vita's entire catalogue, and besides, that's just a Vita without a screen.

Hi, and welcome to the internet! Enjoy your stay, and don't forget to check out the dancing baby. It's hilarious!

My friend at work said you can get that as a screensaver now, but you need the newest Pentium II or it won't work right. I'll have to keep my "Dave's Awesome Computer" bouncing around like a pong ball until I can upgrade.

It's a PS3 meme joke.

Though the wii was drought fuckin' city.

But it had backward compatibility.

The PS2 had a similar problem as far as really good games in the beginning, but there was backwards compatibility. A lot of people in Japan played Dragon Quest VII on the PS2.

PS3 had backwards compatibility up until the point it had a decent library, more or less.

It's one commodity Nintendo doesn't have.

I actually own a PS4 , since I guessed right about how hard it would be to get one at release. But there hasn't actually been any games that I care about for it, that I wouldn't rather play on PC or Vita yet. I did get Knack at release so I had something. So yeah, No Games seems fairly accurate to me.

Admittedly my taste in games meant I knew there wouldn't be anything for a while (primarily, turn based (S)RPGs , 2D / 2.5D fighters, and some ARPGs) but I am genuinely surprised by how long its been with nothing.

I find one of the best things about getting consoles at launch is expanding my taste in games by trying out new things. You should try that, there are dozens of very high quality games on PS4.

I love my PS4 and I think this is completely wrong.

With your taste, you would be better served by PSP/PS Vita. SRPGs are a dying breed, I would love to see a spiritual successor to Jeanne D'Arc on PS4 with awesome full HD graphics, but I have to admit games like Jeanne D'Arc, Tactics Ogre, FF Tactics: War of the Lions are much better served on a handheld. Fighters and ARPGs are also quite well respresented on Vita (UMvC3, SFxT, DoA, BB, Ys, Toukiden, Soul Sacrifice, etc.)

How was that in any way the "no gaems" meme? It felt like a ham-fisted gaming joke the Onion came up with and they just chose the most popular console to tie it to. Was pretty unfunny for an onion piece IMO...the other Sony one is hilarious.

I know. I'm one of the like 44 Vita sales outside Japan and I took advantage of the accidental unlocking of the PSX / PSP games to get everything from my PSP onto my Vita. I'm really happy with it, though I really wish they'd get their digital licensing sorted out properly in future (is it that hard to say: We get to publish it digitally on any system capable of running the same binary code and you get the percentage agreed upon ?) and that whoever came up with their proprietary memory cards and their extremely limited capacity would be launched into the sun (seriously the system should have freaking launched with a 64 GB card and we should be up to 128 or 256 by now).

I got the PS4 as a hedging bet in case something I wanted came out, since I knew it'd be sold out for a few months after it launched.

(Honestly I've got a back log that stretches back to PS2 / Dreamcast, so it doesn't really bother me that much.)
