Micromegas said:What is the TF2 community size on the PS3. When I was on 360 the community dwindled quick after CoD4 came out.
I would pick the PS3 version up today if the TF2 community was happening. Loved it, but it just couldn't get traction on the 360.
Also, is Valve releasing the big updates for TF2 on the consoles?
psycho_snake said:Its about time that I play the Half Life games, but I'm concerned about the problems with the PS3 version. From the reviews it sounds like the PS3 version has some serious frame rate and loading problems. Now I can cope with the occasional drops in framerate, but it sounds pretty bad. IGN even said that it borders on being unplayable.
I cant see myself buying an Xbox anytime soon and I'm not going to play this on the PC, so the PS3 version is the only option I have. Is it worth it or is the framerate and the loading times really as bad as they're made to sound in reviews?

You won't notice much FPS problems except for Episode 2. And it's not game breaking. Don't miss this excellent collection.
You should have told me I traded mine in for like 10 dollars..psycho_snake said:Its about time that I play the Half Life games.....
devildog820 said:Yes, however I experienced a nasty lockup in the second to last chapter. No matter what I did or how many times I restored it, it locked up in the same place. Since I couldn't restart the chapter until I beat it, I used the stage select code to restart the chapter. No consistent lockups after that.
drakesfortune said:I had the exact same problem and I just restarted the level to fix it. This is a huge bug that persists on the 360, PS3, and PC version of the game. It's not limited to the PS3. Search on it and you'll find people on all platforms had that same issue. Luckily for me it was only about 5 minutes worth of game that had to be replayed.
LouieGeetoo said:Why aren't you going to play it on PC? It's definitely the superior version, and as I recall the Source engine is pretty playable even with lower-end specs.
