The Order 1886 or Bloodborne?

This thread makes me chuckle now. It started with people just giving their answer of one or the other or both. Then it turned into people critiquing other's choices. Then it turned into people calling other people out on their choices as if they have an ulterior motive..

Bloodborne is a no brainer.

I might get the Order as well if impressions are positive and/or it falls in price quickly

One of these will potentially be the best game released on PS4 for the entire gen; the other will be forgotten within two months and less than $30 after three.

Get Bloodborne
.

I don't have a PS4 but if i had one, Bloodborne is a no brainer.
I was watching that 18 minute gameplay yesterday and i wanted to start kicking my PS3 for not being a PS4.....

Also i think it has a better game time - price ratio than The Order.

Since your not buying either until later in the year, why don't you just wait for reviews and/or Gaf impressions? You don't have to decide until then right?

If i had to pick one, it would be The Order hands down!

Gaf has opened my eyes to BB but I'm still on the fence with that one. I love games with boss fights though so I'll probably get it.

Heavy Rain is my cutoff, I didn't enjoy the game so if another game has the same metascore or lower I won't bother. I don't have much time to play games so I'm not going to bother with something less than 8.8. I make exceptions for social gaming.

lololololololol

I choose the games I play by flipping coins.

OP: Bloodborne

I'm afraid of Souls games stealing my life, so I've pre-ordered The Order and I might pick up BB when it hits $30 or $40.

The Order I'm gonna hold off until reviews come out before I get. Wasn't too crazy about the airship demo I saw.

Bloodborne is Day 1 purchase for me. I should actually get my collector's edition on pre-order for it.

Still have my doubts about 1886. Something about it just doesnt seem right. I love my uncharted and cinematic gameplay(I also loved heavy rain). It's just 1886 seems really off to me for some reason, even with all the footage I have seen.

Bloodborne is pretty much a title that everyone is expecting to compete for GOTY and its online component will assure more fun beyond just playing the game through a traditional run through.

The Order is definitely a rental for me. I can't see playing past the campaign, which I suspect will be short and sweet.

Bloodborne though, I just don't know. I keep buying and playing and not liking the Souls games, but I can't resist the urge to try again. I might wait for it to be cheaper though.

Will buy bloodborne as has multiplayer and longer legs, and will borrow the order off my cousin who has preordered it.

If the order reviews very well may have to buy it.

Going to buy The Order if the game gets good reviews, if not Bloodborne. Even if the mood and the difficulty setting is not my cup of tea.

Order 1886 is a game I'd finish... Bloodborne is a game I likely never will finish.

So Order 1886.

But I'll have both soon enough.

Both look amazing to me. However, The Order: 1886 is pretty much guaranteed to be the far shorter affair, so I'd say go with that one first if time constraints are indeed an issue.

I'm getting both but if I had to choose only one, it's The Order.

It should more or less be straightforward and not require wandering aimlessly while lost or looking up guides when you don't understand items/weapons/tactics/mechanics.

I like Souls games, but figuring out how stuff works is the name of the game. I don't always feel like digging into that and I don't like using guides, which means I haven't finished all of them. (This also makes replayability not a big factor to me.)

Bloodborne , The order look good but I will wait .
It's more a question of time than money actually (so much games coming out in March)

I will be getting both but if I had to get just one, I would get The Order as it fits my personal tastes and my limited gaming time more. But I will get both no doubt.

The Order will probably be garbage, and will certainly fall off the MSRP cliff after a month. Unless you are desperate to join the NeoGAF Mustache Avatar spoiler thread, it's probably safe to grab Bloodborne and hold off for The Order's fire sale.

Probably going to get both because this month is dry for me in terms of new games I want to play but way more hyped for Bloodborne because I love action RPGs.

I saw trophy stats on twitter and someone completed TheOrder in a little over 4 hours.
It was posted by an xbox fanboy, but it looked legit.
This could be a big factor for many people.
Short story, no multiplayer, yet 60$.

Bloodborne on the other hand seems to offer more content.

Yeah, plus Bloodborne having an online component, it's more critical to get in on the action early, before everyone figures out everything like usual.

It is also safe to say that The Order: 1886 will be the better seller in the end (since it fits better with the current market), no matter how good gameplay-wise Bloodborne looks.

If we still got actual sales data I would take that bet. Bloodborne might get beat out of the gate by a few hundred thousand units, but The Order will sputter hard and never recover. Bloodborne will sell nicely for a while.

First, if previous Souls games are anything to go by, I doubt it will be beaten by only a few hundred thousands. Despite the medias impressions, The Order had more coverage (especially with the recent Super Bowl trailer) and sales momentum than Bloodborne. Bloodborne will sell good but not great. Believe me when I say that most PS4 owners are most likely not really into those kind of games.

Second, like I said before, if the story of The Order:1886 is anything close to the quality of The Last of Us, both in terms of pacing and lore, I think it's fair to say that I expect some surprisingly great things from this title sales-wise.

Probably Bloodborne because I am a sucker for hype...but I only played Demon Souls in the whole series and hated it lol

The Order looks like it has very limited replayability

I have no idea what your tastes are so there's no way for me to gauge what you might like.

The fact that anyone in here is suggesting either is hilarious and just shows its a popularity contest of 'I like this game more'.

Buying games based off "hype" is a terrible idea to boot.

Bloodborne is a done deal for me, gameplay should be great along with replay value. The Order otoh has me skeptical on its content. If that ride was of uncharted/tlou quality, I'd be fine with that, but I'm not so sure of it. May wait for the sales to hit for that one. Looks pretty though.
