The PlayStation Vita In 2011-2012

http://youtu.be/s1ZFUZ_NTHc - Ragnarok Odyssey trailer II.

Also, the Little Deviants trailer is crazy, didn't know about that minigame where you had to use both fingers to stretch the boxing ring. Will definitely be getting this, good thing it's so cheap.

Will Uncharted, Wipeout 2048, Escape Plan, and Gravity Daze all be available at U.S. Launch? because if so....holy shit the Vita has a better launch lineup than Dreamcast.

I don't believe Gravity Rush will be a day 1 launch title in the US. It's definitely should be within the March - June period though, given it's a Feb. release in Japan.

So...suddenly there are Vita games being announced as coming out BEFORE the Vita's release date.On February 14, 2012.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend
Little Deviants

Is this some kind of precedence?

The First edition bundle releases on the 15th

This happens with third-party titles at every launch, actually. Especially when system launches are on "weird" (i.e. non-Tuesday) days, the first batch of third-party titles will come out a little early to make absolutely sure they're in stores' hands before the system is officially sold.

First edition bundles are releasing one week earlier.
Beaten.

FIFA is also due out a day earlier - on Feb 21, so I guess you're right.

But I just don't quite understand this bundle coming out a week earlier. Then why doesn't Sony just shift the release date to Feb 14th?

Even if the hardware totally sucks (which I doubt will be the case), this is a ridiculously impressive launch lineup, especially in the US. I bought a PSP day one just for the shiny-new-hardware factor, and I think I'm gonna do exact same thing with Vita. I'd consider myself a casual mobile tech enthusiast, and this thing is going to be a beast! The iPad 2 blows my mind with its graphics prowess and to think Vita is considerably (or at least noticably) more powerful makes me salivate in anticipation of the US launch. On my birthday.

SE has updated Lord of Apocalypse website with information on what save data conversion from Lord of Arcana actually gives you.

Translation:

Player level, weapon/magic proficiency -> Gold Medals
Weapons, Armor, Magic Cards, Ultimate Magic Cards, Ultimate Cards, Orbs -> Silver Medals
Items, Raw materials -> Cash
Cash -> Cash (no change)

The limits of Medals you can get is 200 (Gold) and 1000 (Silver).
The data conversion is done upon selecting "New Game" and then the "Convert data from previous game" (前作データを変換) option on LoApocalypse title screen.
... (just read this)
Only the PSP version of Lord of Apocalypse is eligible for this data conversion.
This conversion is possible once per character.

Edit:
After some thought, considering this is the Vita topic, I could've saved myself the trouble and write only the bold part...

So, two fighting games and a game that already comes with the first edition bundle. UMvC3 for me then.

I think they're trying to entice people to buy the 3G version.

'cept in Canada, where they just want to let us Day One Sony fanbois enjoy a little exclusive smugness when we whip our Vita's out on the commute seven long days before the great unwashed can get their mitts on 'em
not that anybody else on the bus even knows what a Vita is, but what the hell, it's only $50

Yeah, I wish I had that option. :(

I'd be surprised, it didn't even take me that long to finish UC3.

Bend have good history of good length and re-playable campaign. I replayed syphon filter mission more than once trying to get medal and unlock weapon proficiency etc.

and Vita's lower standard for production value (compared to Uncharted 3 ridiculously high production value) should help them to make longer, but more grounded campaign imo.

edit: also, Bend said there'd be more exploration in GA, so you should have longer playtime.

Meanwhile in japan, vita's advertising.

It has no games, so you'd better be playing with the wind.

Those are good points, and now that I think about it Resistance: Retribution had a pretty beefy campaign as well.

It worked on me. I figure that it'll be nice to have a full featured Vita and the game looks to be entertaining enough for a full week. I plan I buy a 32 gb card so the 4 gb will be used for my JP PSN account.
Yeah... I'm trying to tell myself that it isn't worth it just to have it one week early but I'm really eager to get my hands on this thing.

As expensive as the memory cards are I'm just planning on buying a 4 gb one (if I don't get the bundle that I don't really want) and dealing with it until prices drop or some third party cards come out.

ive been following this thread semi closely so pardon me if this been asked/answered.. I know we had estimates but anything concrete on the size of the launch DD games? (specifically HSG)

That's good to hear. Will be grabbing this along with Resistance Retribution at launch.

since when have uncharted games been short? wasn't uncharted 3 the shortest at 9 hours? the others were 10+.

Uncharted has been always 8-9 hour long. And Uncharted 3 was between 7 and 8. But, you know, lower capacity memory card, launch game, etc... I also expected less.

But I'm still undecided to buy it, until I see if there is any extra mode (survival, challenges, etc).

Games will be at or under 4GB at launch. Unfortunately, I can't say more than that.

A launch game Sony Bend has probably spent about 2 years developing.

Also a game they didn't have to create every asset for.
